This is my take on the .230 KitKat stock rom. I like what Sony have done but it doesn't quite work for me so I've made a few changes..
- removed the battery icon and replaced with a big percentage
- merged the wifi and signal icons
- added network speed to the status bar
- added an invisible button on the left of the status bar to remove that network speed
- changed the tab style on the expanded screen
- rearranged the header screen
- put an invisible 'clear notifications' button on top of the clock in the expanded screen
- put an invisible 'edit quicksettings' button on top of the clock in the expanded screen
- added a brightness bar to the expanded screen
- rethemed the softkeys
- changed the navbar height
- added reboot options to the power menu
- removed the data traffic notification
- added call recording to the dialer app
- added a clock and battery percentage to the 'lights out' navbar
- added a transparent pattern lock
- ..and other little tweaks all in the name of minimalism and style!
(Bonus points if you can guess which book I was reading...)
Now Available With 5 Buttons On The Nav Bar!!
And here's what it looks like in action:
If you want to try this out for yourself, just download the zip from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/uhgp2cd7dl2ozzl/Ticklefish_KitKat_UI.zip
Or, if you want to try it with 5 buttons on the navigation bar, get the zip from here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/vg654tja6799y1n/XZ_KK_5_Button_Ticklefish_UI.zip
Flash the zip in CWM or Philz Touch. Do NOT flash in TWRP!
Oh, and your rom MUST be deodexed. If it's not, this won't work..
This zip will replace your:
- framework-res.apk
- SystemUI.apk
- SemcPhone.apk and
- android.policy.jar
But it will also create a flashable backup on your internal sdcard. So if you don't like my setup, you can easily go back to how it was before.
(Although you always make a nandroid backup before flashing mods anyway..don't you? )
Enjoy!
(Big thanks go to: @sandy7 for the reboot menu, @serajr for the brightness bar, @Erhany for the battery percentage, @Dzol Cp for the data traffic, @san122 for the ViewFlipper and @Rajeev for the .230 rom I've been working on.)
