Well, without sim and without wifi you have no AGPS, you know this ?
AGPS needs one of this data connections because it reads gps preconfigs from a inet server. If you don't get them from there, your phone is forced to get them from the gps satelites and that could need up to 12 mins.
And that it only needs seconds after first lock is also no miracle because your phone saves this presets for 7 days so further locks will be way faster. But 7 days later you need new presets and the sync will last longer one time again.
If you want to test it correct you have to clear the AGPS Data before every test (with gps test etc.)

i know all what you say. my lock reports are always after a reboot and with a new fresh try. nobody said, that gps is working without any inet.

I know isn't important or necesary but after i flashed v 0.6.2 busybox is still v 1.93.

Well for me feacore kernel was more battery efficient in terms of use, overnight was a little more power hungry than sky high, in terms of performance both kernels seemed very ok, no noticeble difference between them, both kernels have a wake up lag while using on demand governor, with smartass is ok. Last night lost 4% battery with feacore (1-2% with sky high) but during the day in terms of use it more than compensates. Eagerly awaiting 0.6.3 Thank's for all you're hard work.
P.S. Atached screenshot from last night with feacore kernel, no new apps were installed since previous sky high kernel.

This rom is absolutely awesome!
Standby Time is great (i am using skyHigh Kernel 1Ghz)
But the battery drain while active is just average :/
Btw i really hate the 0.62 Battery icon
But all in all the ROM is my favorite

I text a lot to my wife and i noticed that sms counter stops at 200 per person. Did anyone noticed this thing? Would it be an android/rom bug or it's settings related. Can it be fixed?

Phone won't boot
Well, I installed the rom according to the instructions. I really liked to be able to customize the installation. I used the 0.62 version.
I chose the 'Full wipe' option because I had a stock rom installed, but after the installation, when I returned to the CWM menu (I didn't boot right away), the files I had in /sdcard were still there. Strange...
Anyway, I rebooted the phone, expecting some issues, just like Aroma stated. After the first Samsung logo, everything was dark: the phone was off. Another try: same result. I booted again into CWM, made a factory reset and rebooted again. This time it worked. However, the story isn't over yet... Please stay with me... The rom seemed awesome and fast. Love at first sight, you know? I restored the apps and data I previously had (I used My Backup Root) and rebooted again.

As far as know gigabread has toggle 2g implemented so, therefore you cannot restore any previous data backups made on another GB w.o. toggle 2g so you have to reinstall all app manually for them to work ok.

I'll try toggling 2g, but I think it won't solve the booting problem because I can't boot BEFORE I restore my data. I only managed to boot once.

i was testing all kernels, roms, mods and tweaks for samsung galaxy s plus.
my idea was, to make a version with the best working combination without anything to do = an all-in-one-rom
GIGABREAD+ is the result and i just want to share it with you.
note: this rom does not support other themes at this moment.
YOU can customize GIGABREAD+ and make it to your personal ROM with AROMA INSTALLER!
note: this is the best combination for fast, stable and elegance usage. (battery drain in sleepmode < 1%/hour)
so you have to do nothing on it. you can correct me, if i did some wrong modifications or have forgotten something to do.
take it like it is or try one of the other very nice roms for our sgs+ device.
if you have any ideas for new features or you want some more modifications - let me know, i'll add this to the wishlist (post #2)...

i am thinking about a new android 4 rom (something special what's not available for our device at the moment [can't talk about it] ) for i9001 after final gigabread+. because now we have a good base, thanks to arco68 and ivendor.
but at the moment i have two devices, sgs+ and sgs2.
my plan was to sell the i9001 after the final release.
now my two problems:
1) i realy love the i9001-community and don't want go away.
2) but i need the cash
i decided to add my paypal account to my xda-profile, because many user asked for it. so lets see what comes around.

The bugs i found:
Toggle2G changes network to 2G but only sometimes back to 3G
Downloading files with stock and other browsers didn't work
2G and 3G Manual Toogle at the statusbar was relative buggy
The big caller picture destroys the framework of the phone app
If these things get fixed we have a PERFECT Gingerbread Rom

i guess the download-problem is caused by the adblock-file.
maybe i will revert adblock, because you can also download it at google playstore.
