I have a bug on RC1:

Open Google Maps and turn on GPS. When you get a lock, exit out of the program, then turn off GPS. Indicator will remain active even though you don't want to be locked.

*If someone wants to make an official report of this issue, go ahead. I have a busy day today.

I've tried it several times and I'm not having any problems with that. I used to have that problem with the weekly build, but after installing RC1 it stopped occurring.

I can replicate this issue. However, it is only the icon that stays present in the menu bar. If you go to "Settings", you'll see that the actual GPS is still off.

This seems purely cosmetic, hardly worth reporting.

A bug is a bug. This is why this is still a Release Candidate.

Can you explain further please?

I have my fingerprints setup, then checked skip on security, and I have no problems.

I'm using a pin password and I have the skip on security option checked but it doesn't seem to work. I have to get through the lockscreen and then I have to enter my pin number to unlock the phone. Maybe it only works if you are using a fingerprint setup like you are?

The skip on security only seems to work with fingerprint and pattern, both pin and password still make you unlock first.

This has been reported already:

Guys, if you suspect your battery is reporting the wrong percentage, visit my thread and perform my battery calibration method. Heres the link. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php...ry percentage CM7! (PLEASE MAKE IT A STICKY!)

This works on CM7, but i need someone with CM9 to try it out. :D

Call me crazy, but I noticed something on our beloved atrix concerning the battery not charging to 100%. I as well have an issue with the battery only charging to 95-96-97-98 percent most of the time however, I was on a road trip using navigation for a long time and I noticed my phone charged to 100% while it was being used under a heavy load while plugged in. I just wanted to share when I have noticed it has charged itself to 100% without messing with the battery stats.. I also notoced some people were wondering why when yo unplug your phone it automatically drops to 99% and that's because a phone that is not on a charge so technically it is at 99% as soon as you pull the plug and it is running off its own power source.

Back to the main issue... don't our "smartphones" have the capability of actually not charging itself to 100% to make the battery last longer.. I've heard that overcharging and completely discharging a lithium-ion battery actually decreases the overall life of said battery. So I am wondering if there is programming in our phone to prevent it from charging to 100% to actually protect the battery and prolong the capacity of the battery?? Just wanted to Chime in because I have performed all fixes available and over time my battery will always only charge to 95-96-97-98 percent unless like I said I am using it under a heavy load then it will charge to 100% while it is plugged in even after weeks since I last calibrated the battery.

Calibration problems are very noticeable in CM7 because it is displayed in 1% increments. I posted my fix for people who have a reason to recalibrate their devices. If you feel your phone is better of displaying something other than 100% when at full charge, go with it. My thread is directed at users who would like to solve this issue fast, easily, and without hassle. Thanks for commenting! :D

So I checked the changelog here:
http://cm-7-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=olympus

I'm curious about what exactly does "zlib" pertain to. I checked the website here:
http://zlib.net/

and the github here:
https://github.com/kaffeemonster/zlib/tree/slhash

It's been updated to 1.2.7 on 3-7-12 but the website still shows 1.2.6. So does that mean the latest version is still being "tested"?

And again, what does it exactly change/improve?

Yes, I looked there as well but I guess I should have been more specific. What I meant to say is "I do not understand what any of this information means, could someone explain it to me like I'm 5 years old?" :D ;)

I also looked here:
http://developer.android.com/reference/java/util/zip/Deflater.html

I get the gist of what it is, I just don't know in what aspects it would effect me when using my phone exactly. I'm more curious than anything else. :)

Why is it that cm7 kernels are made by faux but you can not undervolt the stock kernel that comes with the rom... I love the stock kernel that came with the second to latest nightly and I don't want to change it because my battery life is pretty good now and it seems as if everytime I install a kernel my battery life goes down a lot faster.

Guys, I'm hoping someone can help out. I need the kernel that was on the 03102012 nightly. Can someone please post a link so I can download it? Or a method to extract it from the ROM file? Thanks in advance.

Please use this thread for all your discussion about the Nightly builds for CM7 for the Atrix.
It is important to note that Nightly Builds are not for most Users
Things to know about Nightly Builds:
    • Not Stable releases
    • Will have bugs / issues
    • Not intended to be used as main everyday ROM
    • Are not Fully Supported like Stable Releases
    • Should not be used by people that are not Masters of ADB
    • You Should be comfortable enough to recover from soft bricks On your OWN
    • 90% chance you will be wipping your data (factory reset) at some point and time
DO NOT REPORT ISSUES ON NIGHTLIES ON THE BUG TRACKER

is everyone at cyanogen dead or something? hahaha

No we aren't dead. Turl is working on hdmi with a couple others and we are taking a look at webtop. We are also still trying to get fingerprit merged in to cm main. There is a lot of code cleanup to do.

CM 7.2 should be out soon.

FYI, I'm watching this thread too and removing flames & simple 'thanks' messages. If you see someone start asking about the fingerprint reader or webtop, or anything remotely n00bish, please report the post instead of trolling the thread and causing it to get out of hand. Thanks!

Does Cyanogenmod or Dev Team post changelogs about each update/nightly?

OK guys lets cool down. Flaming period will not be tolerated. It doesnt matter who is doing it. As far as X is concerned he normally doesnt make pointless posts and likes to help to keep the peace.

This thread has been cleaned up once already. I would really hate to have to close it due to people not following the rules and as Rom Development threads are ment for developing current roms and not just to get the rom out there like this one is I would try my best to keep it on topic.
