Hi

I've flashed your ROM and it's looking really nice, but I'm getting a really strange issue. When I switch on Wifi, it immediately goes into a loop of toggling on - off really quickly, and I cannot get it to stop.

I had originally flashed the ROM, then XXJVU, and then Semaphore 0.8.1. Thinking one of those latter two caused the issue, I then flashed Slim ROM again - to restore original kernel - and then XXJVT, but the issue persists.

I was previously on AOKP by BHuval (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1489213) without too many issues, but flashed Slim ROM as I had read it was quicker (and without some of bloatware).

If I can't get this sorted I may have to go back to AOKP.

Regards,

P

Just Install the 2.5 version is the best and no problems .,,.,, I had the same problem and I was forced to go back to 2.5.

Try this:
-format system, data, datadata, cache
-flash the ROM
-wipe data/factory reset
-reboot
-setup your Google account
- go recovery and flash a modem, if you want.
-reboot
- after booting up go recovery
- flash Semaphore_0.8.1
- reboot.

Hi

I tried the first 4 steps and it still does the same. Would doing the other steps make any difference? :-(

I'm going to try 2.5 now, as suggested by traian4u2005.

2.6 Shouldn't have any issues with Wifi now. Try fix permissions in CWM. If not flash 2.5, see everything is ok, then flash 2.6 on top of that with a clear cache/dalvik. Let me know.

Installing 2.5 (only so far) seems to have fixed my wifi looping issue. Very strange.

I will try flashing JVU and Semaphone 0.8.1 now.

BTW I used to run SURFACE 9.01 (based on XXJVU ROM) with Semaphore 2.5 UC to 800MHz. When I try to UC with Semaphore on ICS it just bootloops. Is that to be expected?

OK, I'll try fix permissions in CWM before flashing 2.6 - instead of doing the other steps mentioned in other post just now. Watch this space...

Can somebody tell me why restoring 2.5 always stick 'n' stop on Slim bootlogo?
Even refleshing kernel fails.

Please can someone post a link at the stock kernel?
I used to apply Sempaphore

    Slim ICS v2.7 - Stable
    IMPORTANT NOTE: :
Starting with 2.7 I am forming a common base for galaxy variants, so every user needs to flash the Slim_ICS_Base_2.7 and their device essentials, so a I9000 user has to flash the Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials as well, if you don't your system won't boot. I am doing this so i can make it easier on my side and allow users of vibrant and captivate to become Slim.

    • Smaller but common base for galaxy S variant phones
    • Modded Market where paid apps work ( if it doesn't, try this, manually push it in system/app, set permissions, reboot)
    • Modem provided in Essentials - it will leave your modem alone if there is one already.

    Market Workaround at 182 DPI:

    • Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

      or
    • Change to 240 dpi, reboot, clear market cache, and verify that all apps are seen ( if you can't see any at 182 dpi), then change it to 182 dpi and don't clear cache. All apps will show up until you clear cache next time.
      or
    • Buy LCD Density Modder Pro. Easily allows to change DPI and downloads a modded multi dpi marketplace.
