Hi there, i'm kinda (I've got some phones acer liquid/mini/metal SGS+ and 2x) new, but i'm really interested in the matter.
It's only natural that LG doesn't spend time on older devices, because it aims to sell the new devices to the non-nerdy ppl that don't know about roms or recoveries or xda. And in the other hand it doesn't invalidate warrant if you root/install roms on your device.
But my main issue (in my very first reply) is: Someone is gonna cook a ROM that doesn't have CM9 related kernel, bugs etc... ? I could donate him the equivalent of 10 or 20 beers xD i'm really sick of CM9. It is an AOSP rom and it has quite a team workin on it, but i've got several phones so far, and all of these had a CM9 beta or RC and everyone has got the same bugs...
Obv, i'm not a programmer, and i could (or i must) thank for the hard work everyone in CM9 team. But i'm kinda sick of CM9...
EDIT: i read few pages of the thread, it seems that devs are waiting LG to release stock ICS. Sorry about this fuss on CM9, i'm changing phones because i wanna ics on my smartphone and weren't lucky so far. So i'll join your wait for a stock ics release xD
