HTML viewer isn't really important. If you want a HTML viewer, you can always download it from Play Store.
Btw give a look at SamsungUpdate.apk (I don't know how it's fully called) and at the CSC apps (maybe remove the kies folder and the CSC files in /system too). The CSC thingy isn't prevent in AOSP, so I think it's a kies updater stuff.

I flashed it on a fully Stock ROM (no modifications) and it worked! Generally Recovery has already a "root mode", or else how would we root our phones with recovery? (at least for this device)

If you clear the dalvik cache after the script execution, the corresponding .odex files will be removed too.I think the Rom should also be "De-Odexed" to get this script running correctly...
( You've stated that it remove's JUST the .apks and there was nothing stated about removing .odex files ,so i assumed that a De-odexed rom is necessary .xD..)
