In that way it will restore boot.img of r10 for you.
I hope it won't effect camera, but I think that can be a solution for you.

could not wait, so did the cwm full backup. Under backup and restore > advanced restore, their is no option to restore only boot. when I select anvanced restore, it looks like it is going to restore the full cwm backup. One note,

Just did the nand backup of 10 and did not install 12, I just looked for the restore boot option for test. Maybe have to install 12 first to make the boot option show up.

Hello I solved replacing / system / app application dsp.apk equalizer.apk now works with and is recognized by the System .... change the settings and also the quality of music

Installed R12. Few things I noticed:

1. Noticed that WiFi does not turn on anymore. The first time around it says turning wifi on but then becomes unresponsive.
2. The soft "home" button does not do anything. Have to keep hitting the "escape / back" soft button to go back.
3. Also, curiously there is no screen lock anymore - hitting the power switch foes directly to the home screen.
4. When I reboot, a "maps failed to start" popup appears.

Anybody else noticing these things? R11 worked perfectly with the GPS fix.

all you say is related to not doing a full wipe before installation.

Update to the latest cwm . If you make a full backup of R10 it means the boot.img is also backuped so it should be available for restore.

See attachments , I uploaded the boot.img from R10 in flashable zip.

So install with cwm , it is for HC bootloader users and you got the stock and tweaked version

Hi

I am on the latest ROM and the DOCK is not being detected. Any pointers on how to fix that.

I'm trying to install a certificate for my firewall. Without it I can't use https traffic. When I try to install it from the security settings I get a message that unfortunately certificate installer has stopped. Without this certificate I can't add a gmail account, I can't go to any https sites and without gmail account can't use market.
I tried restarting it, shutting it down but still get this error when installing a certificate. If there was an apk that was removed that is required for this, could you, please, put it back. I had no problem with Asus Transformer Prime - there I was able to install certificate. I'd like to do the same on the Acer.

Another question. What do I need to delete/clean/format to clean up internal storage? I still see folders from all the programs that I installed when on Honeycomb. I'd like that clean but I'm afraid to do anything as I don't want to delete clockworkmod recovery. I did the wipe, factory reset, cache delete, dalvik cache delete, format flexrom. What format is needed to clean the internal storage?

Then don't delete the Clockworkmod folder... easy as that


One thing I do is hook it up to a computer and pull it up as a added drive and I sort by date modified. If it has not been touch recently, I delete them. I also go in and take a look at what is in folders if I am unsure and I can tell if it is going to bork my stuff or not. If you have a Nandroid quit being scared and get your feet wet.

I do have the latest cwm, 1.7 but when I choose advanced restore it just shows the whole cwm backup that I just did and no other options, like restore bootloader. Did I miss the, "Restore Bootloader", option...? Thanks.

I'm on CWM 5.0(thor2002ro rev 1.3.4), and when I choose Advanced restore, I can then choose the backup to restore from, then the next menu lets me choose partitions. I would guess that the boot partition would contain the bootloaders.

First off, great work on the rom. It's the fastest one I've ever used, but I have a question. Is it possible to revert the looks to the stock form? I know it's cool to put a bit of a personal touch on your rom, but I prefer the way stock looks, especially the settings background and the height of the action bar at the top. That just seems too cramped and in some apps, like GMail, it cuts off text.

Does anyone know how to enable haptic feedback on the buttons on the notification bar? I checked everywhere in the settings and I can't find it.

Background menu ,OK .
But I never changed the height or color or what ever of the action bar.
So that is stock , again I changed nothing of the top action bar.

Only cosmetic changed are,
Acer ring
Battery%
Soft buttons
Pop-up status bar , right bottom corner.
Text color of resent apps
Background color of menu.
Keyboard sounds
Bootanimation
Ring button.

If you really want I can post a full stock look with batter% and without it .
But I'm not making every possible variation that a user wants, maybe a good challenge for the user to change things them self.
Background color of menu is so easy. You don't need anything special for that. Winrar or 7zip is enough as tool and ofcorse a grafik tool. and lots of time
Same with buttons, it only gets hard when you want to change pop-up status bar, add battery%
And text color. Then you need to decompile and recompile so you won't get errors or boot loops.
Maybe someday I post a litlle guide , if I got time.

Yes and then you select that backup and then it gives you an option of what you want to restore of that backup.
Don't be afraid to push a button , that is how I learned everything, you learn the most out of your mistakes.
I never said bootloader , its restore boot or boot.img.
That is a big difference from bootloader.

Just flash the boot.img that I posted a few posts back and see if that helps your problem.

    BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING PLEASE BE SURE TO BE ON THE ICS UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER.
    HOW TO DO THIS UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER THING?

    For Aroma installer you need to be on one of the following custom recovery's
    ezterry's A500PubRecovery
    or
    TWRP 2.1.3 (not 2.2...)
    or
    Thor 1.7.3
    or
    ra-recovery 3.17 (recovery-ra-iconia-3.17-gnm)

    INSTALLATION
    -first take a full nandroid backup !
    -First time installing this rom = wipe all , factory reset , format and make sure to format flexrom!!!
    -flash rom first with cwm or RA recovery
    -Reboot and do your settings.
    -Now you can use the Aroma packages or mods

    If you got problems please before posting them do the following.

    Performe a REAL format....
    here's how to on cwm:

    go to in recovery enter "Backup and Restore" and click on "Toggle backup and restore of internal storage (/data/media)"
    should say enabled....
    then go into "Mounts and Storage" and "format /data"

    As I already mentioned this is my goodbye to the active community.
    I will still jump in to read some stuff but active support or new rom releases is just not for me anymore.
    Life got other plans for me.

    I joined XDA as a noob and to be honest I still feel a noob compared to some of the supurb dev's here on XDA.
    I would like to say thanks to ezterry , thor2002ro , vache , spica1234 , Stefan Gündhör , Skrilax_CZ , blackthund3r , Euclid's Brother , smaury , Moscow Desire and many more.............
    In some way each of you helped me doing my thing.
    I probably made some people mad but no hard feelings from my part.
