This is not a Rom Manager backup or a 41D upgraded to 41F but an official 41F stock image build by Google obatined from
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html

I have added a batch file to automatically fastboot flash this under windows and restore your phone to stock.

turn the device on with both volume buttons held and enter fastboot mode. connect usb and execute flash-windows.bat (included) you may need to install samsung adb driver and boot unlock the device though (which you can find on this forum)

tested on my galaxy nexus and restored successfully.

Why would you upload mirrors when Google themselves are hosting the files? Wouldn't it be more reliable to just download straight from Google?

Also, I'm assuming that they'll be updating the recovery images for each official update as well... Meaning your mirrors would be outdated soon anyway. Just a thought.

Thanks anyway though, these will come in useful!

Google's package is compressed in tgz and comes with sh script, also doesnt include fastboot windows.

I put all necessary utils together with a bat script so user can just double click and restore.

can you change the radio image like this XXIK6? http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1374077

greetings pittrich

I'd prefer the Google Images untouched to be honest.

Guys, a little OT question, but I don't want to open a new thread just for a noobish question:

How could one actually brick the GNex? Is it possible to brick the GNex so serious that it won't even get recognized by fastboot?
If not, it's literally unbrickable. If yes, what would I need to do to brick my phone like that? Just wann know so I can NOT do it :D

You could do what my idiot brother did to my Nexus S. Format /boot from Clockwork mod (under the storage options I believe) and then turn the phone off. The only way to unbrick it is to send it to Samsung, or the guy on XDA who runs that company that uses JTAG to fix it (which is what I did)

Why would that brick the device? Can't you still get into the bootloader or recovery and flash a new boot image?

@ zyo will this factory image also work for lte or is this strictly GSM image? I have an issue where neither cwm or adb will restore my stock nandroid and I want a full stock backup just to be safe

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

Hello, can someone post a step-by-step guide to revert back to ITL41F? After I unlock the bootloader, what are the steps I need to perform?

Any help will be appreciated!

If you can read German I can give you the link to my step-by-step guide. However I am not able to post it here directly, yet. Too much of a noob still. :)

I found a forum that posted a link to a German Samsung site. It lists the files needed to change the GNex to the Google build YAKJU - ITL4F, radio 19250XXKK1, PrimeKJ10 bootloader, Google branded.

The instructions are in German but it is pretty simple. Go here http://samsung.de/de/Privatkunden/M...d722dbc-9813-4d08-b5b7-5772e168e9e4&dl=manual to get the two files needed to run the update. It is totally automatic, no other setup is required and it is stock as far as I can see. It worked great for me. One file is the install USB app the other is the ROM installer.

    Install USB drivers
    Run the ROM installer
Phone off (start with volume down/Power button)
    Plug-in the USB cable LAST
Hit start button in ROM installer app
Wait and don't turn off the phone

Can anyone confirm, that this ... .. works?

It works. It will restore most apps and settings.

I would really love to keep everything/be able to restore it. Will widgets and stuff be backuped as well? I have some Tasker, Minimalstic Text Widgets and stuff and really dont want to set them up again..

I don't remember exactly, but I think it even restored the apps' databases and thus all settings. I'd probably do a settings export from Tasker, Minimalistic Text, etc. anyways.
