Anyone encountered MicrosoftExchange ActiveSync cant retrieve mail?

Was working fine when on GB and CM9 v3-v7. Have issue when I flash to the new ICS. Did a wipe and still same problem. :(

I am using exchange 2010 with no issues, I did a full delvic, cache and data wipe. Exchange is working flawlessly with contacts calander and mail sync.

After extensively using pure android on imilka's rom and stunner, I am just not liking this. I wish Stunner would soon be modified to be dead safe to flash. I miss it! :(

So, has anyone here successfully set the DPI to 213? I'm curious if it'll kick the build into tablet mode. It should do it since ICS is made for both phone and tablet.

NullNullNull

Hi everyone,
just flashed ICS coming from Criselco V2 LP6, with Mobile Odin, Full Wipe, works fine, but:
I have got that damn nullnullnull bug on Samsung keyboard, any Idea how to get rid of this?

I read somewhere in this thread about this problem, but i can't remember what i read :p But re-flash fixed the issue for me. How do you flash? PC Odin? Mobile Odin? CWM?

Nah, I bet Samsung removed all the tablet framework from ICS before putting TouchWizz in.. Besides, IIRC there were couple of users who tried to set DPI @213 but ended up with bootloop

Hi,

I am trying to download the file via kies cable USB. However, it keeps saying time out everytime I left the computer for 10 minutes. Therefore, I won't be able to finish downloading the file. I have to restart updating process again. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Anyone having issues with data really slow? Especially on Straight Talk.

My data is really slow according to Speed Test and it keeps jumping from H+ to 3G but only in Speed Test so I'm not sure if it's the app or not.

Have they tried with rom tollbox or directly editing build.prop? I remember other ics that directly edited it to result in bootloop but rom toolbox worked...

Well, in fact the PRO version is supposed to have more features, but the Lite version isn't working as supposed to be a Lite one. :p :D

So haven't find out a way to root and backup the stock GB before moving to this ICS version... ^^
I'll wait after an already rooted version as I also need to change the CSC file. :D ;)

Search and you will find your answer mate ;)

You can now flash a prerooted GB ROM with no wipe option, thus gaining root without losing data

Flash CF-Root kernel of said ROM using "the non-working" Mobile Odin

Make the backup you want of your GB ROM

Get the ICS ROM tar, unpack it and replace the CSC file with the one you like, also replace the zImage with the new released CF-Root

Again, use "the non-working" Mobile Odin and point it to the files you just downloaded, replaced and copied to your sd card

Profit :p

Just a noob question. I'm coming from CM9. Do i need to flash zImage in kernel using mobile odin to get root? Or just flash the *.md5 file without the zImage?

Thanks in advance.

Guys I am currently running criskelos v2 ICS. Is it fine if I flash using mobile odin?? Or do I have to downgrade to GB and then flash using mobile odin? I will be following Dr Kretan's method, just not too sure if I can flash directly over criskelos.

    just to remind people:

right now nobody knows if Sammy changes bootloader with ICS (as they did with crappy I9100-FW!)....so just be aware that there might be problems to flash back on any other firmware or Custom ROM after you updated via KIES or ODIN. That does not necessarily mean it will be, but it might :)

Maybe someone who already flashed it can test....

But i will try to build CWM-flashable zip anyway - and this will be WITHOUT bootloader and save to flash

EDIT: it is save to flash also with KIES and ODIN!

Easy root method, no counter, no triangle, no hassle

Just to let you all know there is another easy root method. It fits the needs of those who don't want to increase binary counter and want to avoid that annoying triangle, I mean, don't want to flash an alternative kernel... or aren't rooted already and, consequently, aren't able to use Mobile Odin.

    What you will need:

Once you have flashed official LPY (via Odin or Kies) and ICS is up & running...
    • Copy the files you've downloaded to the external SD
    • Turn SGNote off
    • Hold Volume Up and Menu keys down and press power button til Sammy's logo shows up
    • Use Volume Down to highlight "apply update from external storage" option
    • Press power button to select
    • Use Volume Down to highlight CWM.zip
    • Press power button to select
    • Wait few seconds til ClockWorkMod shows up
    • Tap on "install zip from sdcard"
    • Tap on "choose zip from internal sdcard"" (don't ask me why! ;))
    • Tap on SU-Installer-signed.zip
    • Tap on Yes - Install SU-Installer-signed.zip
    • Wait a couple of ms
    • Tap on "Go Back"
    • Tap on "reboot system now"

Done!!! You're rooted, no counter, no triangle, no alternative kernel, no hassle! ;)

CREDITS GO TO Rachmat3 @ http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 ... I just tested the above mentioned root method on Galaxy Note LPY.
