I just talked to Sprint today as I pre ordered the LTE and been waiting on my shipping info , I called today as the release is suppose to be this Friday and they are saying customs is holding up the shipment and they have pushed back the national release date ... anyone else confirm?

Yes the whole world has confirmed... look at the general section or any android/tech blog/news outlet

Nice! the phone isn't even out (not even in the US yet) and we have a rom for it. Does anyone know if it's been rooted yet?

Too bad there's no way [yet] to get this rooted stock rom on the device. Wait.. none of us have the device yet either

I'm leery of using htcdev because they can supposedly void your warranty for hardware issues. I confident there will be some way to unlock the boot loader to install a custom recovery without htcdev [eventually].

There's not a recovery that's released here... yet ;)

"The HTC EVO 4G LTE recovery is not there yet, although the makers of two popular recoveries have both stated it will be after they have device in hand.

It's an exciting time to be in this year's EVO LTE crowd."

Yep...eventually we'll have our cake and eat it too :D Wednesday can't come soon enough!

As excited as I am for the hardware itself, I am more excited to see these legendary developers coming on board. Hot damn let the good times roll!!!

    Description:
This is the stock ROM extracted from the leaked 1.12.651.2 RUU I posted earlier with a few modifications.

NOTE: This has not been tested yet considering I do not have the device. As soon as it releases I will test it and confirm. Also, this is not the latest build for the EVO 4G LTE, so there will be updates to this once I get a system dump of the newest build off the phone. This still can be used as a base for any new rom though.

    Modifications:
    • Superuser.apk & su binary (SuperSU by Chainfire)
    • Busybox 1.19.3
    • Patched boot.img for 24/7 root via adb.

    Future Additions:
    • Deodexed version coming soon.

    Requirements:
    EVO 4G LTE
    Unlocked bootloader
    Custom recovery

Even if everything is returned to stock, HTC still has a record of the online unlock request at htcdev.com, so the warranty is as good as voided anyway.

People need to stop worrying about this. Sprint is the one that is replacing phones when you have an issue, not HTC. And I doubt HTC shares the unlock info with Sprint.

sorry about that, shanking my head :)

    o_O

Do not shank your head. That would hurt.

this is why you shouldnt post a rom before u even have the device to test it on

This is why good devs quit releasing stuff... Thanks for your amazing input
