Another workaround for apps on sd going missing frm screen is to open the froyo task manager->ram manager->ram mnagement->select both level 1 and level2->clear memory

The sad part is.. my compass is broken after froyo update...and still all apps cannot be moved to the sdcard

what's new in the 2.0.7 version beside increase quadrant benchmark??

I want the compass to be normal again so that i can use the layar/maps and another such application which uses compass..

yes there is a .tar file dont unpack it, take the "one package file"
thats what u did wrong, all european eclair and usa works for me :)

Please help..I have used the batfix motafoca 2.0.7 everything went well but then when i used the ext2 2.0.7 when i finished the set-up in the batch file but then when my phone reboot i got stuck up in the boot image and it will just flash and flash..i cant go any further..please please help me..did i bricked my phone??

My phone is in "loop mode", what should i do?

Run the maekext2.bat again while in loopmode

My organization network uses a proxied wifi and i am having a problem getting internet connectivity.
Well i get connected to the network but its doesn't let me use the internet
I think its because we are using proxied network with a shared wep key could you please help
I have not found any option to set the key as Open or Shared..

I am using I5500_MOTAFOCA_BATFIXV2.0.6.tar.mdf on my phone

And ya is using gprs decrease battery life??

Changelog

- System folder is ext2 with 4k blocksize with this we gain:
- Speed, full phone boot in 30seconds or less
- NAND Flash is preserved
- Touchwiz launcher removed
- Zeam launcher installed
- Superuser package installed
- Battery powersave governor set to "conservative", after tests this gives 50hours+ with very light use, previous was 42 hours, this mode also is quicker to the phone "wake up"
- Busybox "linked" to /data/busybox folder, titanium will recognize it now
- APP2SD Full - SDPartitioning required,
- You can now install allyour apps on sdcard, after running the procedure all apps will go directly to sdcard
- Sdcard formated as ext2 with 4k blocks, faster
- when you "share" the sdcard by using mass storage, all apps are still available
- more space on internal storage
- Cache and Data can be converted to 4k blocks,
- Ext2conversion is now run by a script and you dont need adb, its all inside the .rar file
- framework improved:
- Batter icon changed
- notification bar is transparent
- lock bar is transparent
- Support for scripts inside /data/scripts
- every time the system boots the /data/scripts folder is scanned and all scripts inside are executed, so you can make custom scripts and add them in the foder
- /data/bin folder is in PATH
- put all the binary/script files you want in the /data/bin folder and you can run them directly
- Fixed recovery data wipe FAILED

Known bugs:
Data wipe still doesnt work

    Odin v4.28 & Ops File

    1. Extract Odin v4.28 and Ops File.zip I5500XXXX.rar
    2. Open Odin v4.28,
    - Select OPS tab: EUROPA_I5508_v1.0.ops
    - Select BOOT tab: I5500XXXXX_BOOTLOADER.tar.md5
    - Select PHONE tab: I5500XXXXX_amss_phone_CL462398.tar.md5
    - Select PDA tab: I5500XXXXX_PDA_CL500331.tar.md5
    - Select CSC tab: I5500XXXXX_CSC_SER_CL498242.tar.md5
    - Make sure Auto Reboot & Protect OPS selected in Option tab
    *If you have 1 file is this the PDA.tar
    You can flash only the pda file.
    - Make sure One Package selected in Option tab
    3. Turn off phone, remove battery for 5second, put it back
    4. Hold "Volume Down, Center button & Power button" in the same time to enter Download Mode
    5. Connect to PC with USB cable
    6. When the data line and the phone connection is successful, com port shows yellow in Odin
    7. Press Start on Odin
    8. Waitin & Pray!

    Hi everyone,

    I'm working on the GT-I5500 for about 10 days, played alot, flashed alot and i finaly got to learn how it works
    Well i have created a modified froyo version based on samsung's I5500LAR0JP2
    Basically i tweaked the initiation scripts and got the powersave gorvernor set to ondemand
    It was performance, so the cpu clock was always at max
    The battery now lasts about 3 times more according to testers and the device aparently is more stable. All the apps are the same
    Setcpu can be removed since the powersave mode is now default

    To install it, use the odin procedure as the same as the I5500LAR0JP2
    Remember to do a factory wipe after installing
    Below the file, DO NOT RENAME THE FILE TO .TAR OR ANYTHING ELSE, odin will do the checksum of the file so you know it has been downloaded correcty

    Update:

    Downloaded and installed the usa firmware successfully!!.......Phone starting up with GT-I5500B.......some new icons.....:

    6. Downloads

    I was not getting internet connection and saw that the APN Type has changed to Internet.......I selected Internet+MMS+DUN and it started working again.....

    Will post again.....let me test and play with it more.........
