apex

i used apex launcher from beta3 i changed permissions and copied it into they system folder but apex keeps FCing

No reception here either, I don't think the network settings are included for us Canucks.

I don't know why most of them are cryin on download site...smooth download ....will install and test it it now...hehehe

I think you have to ask the contrary:
Will any future release of ta-kernel support this ROM?

The kernel maker claims that it is compatible with this ROM, but I haven't used this kernel, so I can't confirm.

Sigh. I thought camera will be working in beta4. Nevermind. I'll be waiting.

Managed to download it by the help of a proxy (thanks cyrix.vs)

downloaded here, smooth download, less than 1 hour.
i noticed that video files are back in media directory and it's keeping some apps from being installed.
trebuchet is buggy enough for me, switched back to apex from beta3.
and unfortunately I got one reboot that I can't figure why.

but other than that, everything else looks better...

can't keep this unasked: I'm using CM9 music app, if anybody else is using it, could you give me a review? mine is really hard to use, as if it was burning CPU clock.
are there different versions of this app? since we've discussed linux distros, methods to make money to pay graduation and even trivial stuff...

Its much preferred and advised to use the only kernel delivered with the rom itself by the developer. Using other kernels might cause bugs as the rom is still in Beta stage

In order to get this build official, this ROM should mainly use properly patched CM kernel.

cm-kernel does work, both doesn't feel smooth. It does contain kgsl drivers, but I didn't look at the version yet. Will do it later today.
So far beta4 looks very promising.

Last important big thing we need to solve: hw decoding

Is that the hardware keylights turn on every touch on the screen, unlike in other roms.

But it sucks... is there anyway to completely disable the backlight? There is an app called screen filter that disables it, but it is an annoying service...

omg, thats really annoying... any way to turn that off wthout using a seperate app?

btw what are the videos in /system/media for? are they some kind of video ringtones?
