Decrypt apps_compressed.bin with Wave Remaker
Open Decrypted file with Hex editior
Search for this Hex value : 52 00 65 00 63 00 6F 00 72 00 64 00
Corresponds to R.e.c.o.r.d.
Change R letter to F
Encrypt file with Wave Remaker and flash it

Don't forget to disable MD5 hash check ;)

Best Regards

Where can I find this entry and how can I modify it correctly?

Hi mylove90! I do this:

Decrypt apps_compressed.bin with Wave Remaker
Open Decrypted file with Hex editior
Search for this Hex value : 52 00 65 00 63 00 6F 00 72 00 64 00
Corresponds to R.e.c.o.r.d.
Change R letter to F
Encrypt file with Wave Remaker and flash it

Don't forget to disable MD5 hash check ;)

Best Regards

But I don't know how to do this:

1.Decyrept the apps_compressed.bin files used bootloader decyreption in Wave remaker
2.open the decyrepted file using hex editor
3.Got to offset 0x554
4.put value 0xF07AF07A from 0x554 to 0x558 (Remember it's little endian so the value will be written backwords)
5.search for this values
02 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 02 00
change it to
01 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 02 00
6.encyrpt the file and flash it

Please :D Tell me! Thank you so much!

Here is complete full steps away from that android thing :D

Decrypt apps_compressed.bin with Wave Remaker
Open Decrypted file with Hex editior
Search for this Hex value : 52 00 65 00 63 00 6F 00 72 00 64 00
Corresponds to R.e.c.o.r.d.
Change R letter to F
search for this Hex value : 02 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 02 00
change it to : 01 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 02 00

N.B : Both hex values above correspond to dots :D....Please focus on the Hex part this time and not the string one :D

Encrypt file with Wave Remaker and flash it

I hope it is easier now to understand :D

Best Regards

P.S : The steps i didn't include from my old post you quoted are for activating FOTA for android booting for apps_compreesed.bin files that doesn't support FOTA so if you don't understand it just forget it :D

Recorded = Original word

This word is blacklisted, "censored", not allowed by Music app... since bada 1.x, to prevent voice recorder MP3s in Music app...

Now you can choose what you want to modify word Recorded...

Fecorded is example... but it is tested and confirmed.
You could try to change last Letter...
Recordeo or "remove" last Char... untested by me.

Easy 1 Byte change...

Because my first intention was an F... word. ;)

The Digits are from HEX Editor...
Insert word/text Recorded into HEX Editor... Look with open eyes on this Picture:

Fecorded Voice is the value that is placed in the Genre Tag of the recorded file. You should be able to see it when you click on the Info button in music player.

This was clear, so I have asked

Done, but I'm not sure if the edited value "Fecorded Voice", is the value of the blacklisted header, or, if is the header that is set to the recorded files.

This mean: OK we have changed the word "Recorded Voice" because this is the blacklisted tag in the music player... but... is the edited string the blacklist value of the player or is the tag value set to every recorded file???

in both case if you change the value the solution works but to better understand What we are going to edit I have asked for this detail.

Fecorded Voice is the value that is placed in the Genre Tag of the recorded file. You should be able to see it when you click on the Info button in music player.

This is the answer.

EDIT
Because this mod doesn't operate on the blacklist string but on the tag of all the recorded files... this cause a bug: all recorded files doesn't appear in the list of the voice recorded files and in the list of the radio recorded files.

Yes, I know...

But maybe for Music App is "config file" somewhere...

Tag Filter on/off :D

Best Regards

P.s.:
Also not known if whole string is blacklisted:
Recorded Voice
15 Byte

Or only Recorded...
8 Byte...

And what is with "Recorded Radio"... is this blacklisted...

Sorry, I was too lazy to check all combinations...
First try was first hit... :D

Maybe someone else has more time to check it out...

Instead only 1 app like in bada 1.x...
Now you need 2 apps... like bada 2.x :D

Maybe in bada 3.x then 3 apps needed. :)

Anyway. Now you can use Voice00x.mp3 with search Tags like in linked post visible...
