If you don't want to spend any money I think the best UI to use at the moment is Pointui (type it into google). Free great interface this is for now your answer.

ISO a 3 button launcher

you know, something simple that goes on HTC Home, that can be added in the ITEMS screen in the Today menu, preferably at the bottom of the screen.

simple such as a clean phone icon, text message, and internet.

does that exist in cab form. not some whole
integrated UI, just three-button, cover.
preferably part transparent, or not.

also, where can one get the space maker for the ITEMS SCREEN in the Today menu. i found this once but that was ROMs ago.
