Move the Browser Cache to SD-Card

hello everyone, i searched the web about moving the browser cache to the sd card, and what i found was this:

http://www.modmygphone.com/wiki/index.php/Caches_To_SD_Card

cd /data/data/com.android.browser/cache
rm -R webviewCache
mkdir /sdcard/cache/webviewCache
ln -s /sdcard/cache/webviewCache webviewCache

does this work for the Hero Browser? Because i think HTC modified the browser?

why the hard work?

There's also 'Move cache for root users' in the market which does the same thing and its also free

otherwise, you can download Dolphin Browser from the market for free (which is faster than the default browser) and it have an option to move cache to SD Card

Dolphin is an exellent brower, however its speed is a matter of opiion, i personally find it slower.

i moved my cache to the SD. but now i want to delete the cache from the SD card, so now i need to delete the content of files in the SD?

Yes.
Since you have all that space, why bother? Cache files help your browser go faster since it caches the files to be used. These are also left behind on your phone includes everything, including pictures, sound files, video files, and text that you have browsed. I dont make a concious decision to delete mine, only when I could be bothered really

yes i knew that, i just wanted to know if i delete the files and nothing wont happen.
