Employee/school discount applies only to:

Primary line talk plan. (so if you have a 69.99 700 min fam plan, primary line costs 60, 2nd 3rd n so forth cost only 9.99.. So 60 will be the principle it discounts from)

Data plans 25$ and up on all lines.

SOME (VERY FEW) company discounts factor in the family msg.. But most do not.

Just making this known, AT&T gives 15% to active service members as well as Veterans.
All you need is photo ID proving you(or your dad) is a veteran/in the service.
Pretty good deal..

I work for AT&T.

By far the easiest way to get a discount if you don't already is email verification.
Just plug in your work/ school email and there are a TON out there. You'll get an email with an Enroll Now button. It seems like they don't cross check the name attached to the email address in any way either so you could use someone else's company email if they'll verify for you.

wireless.att.com/business/enrollment

Discounts come off of the Primary Minute Plan and:

Old $25 2GB
Old $30 Unlimited
Old $45 4GB Tethering
New $50 5GB Tethering

the discount isn't stackable but is great for those of us that aren't getting an employee discount. i've never gotten an employee discount on my cell phone bill i don't know where you all are getting them!
