GM is using the same drivers also right now, and the bricks weren't caused by the wifi drivers but by something else, maybe in the MMC driver or so....

But i think i know why all those people bricked their devices on siyah, it was due to a wrong partition into the recovery.fstab that cleans the sbl instead of another partition while wiping from samsung recovery, that's all ;)

Trust me, i do a lot of wipes every week with my kernel!! ahaha :D:D

Also we have tested it extensively on a lot of devices without any issues while wiping, neither on the I777

I will be very glad if you share that info by giving a link and explaining because I still don't know the exact reason.
it seems that you have got that thought by seeing that I removed some recovery.fstab entries in my github but /res/recovery.fstab is NEVER used by cwm recovery.
and last time I checked you were using exactly the same fstab in your recovery.

so, please correct that statement (wrong recovery.fstab?) or make it more clear.

I normally do not like to write in your thread (you know the reasons) unless you make me say "wtf!"

Yeah, i mean those u have changed in the recovery.fstab, u have removed some entries while i have changed just the boot partition....

I think that was the problem, i may be wrong but it is the only possible reason hence the rest of the sources are really similar.

Well, i'm glad sometimes to see you posting here :):)

Are u moving to the GS3?

this has been discussed in ERD forum and there are some thoughts about the possible reasons but none of them are for certain. I removed those recovery.fstab entries because they were not safe but they are only used in samsung recovery (/res/recovery.fstab) not in CWM recovery.
but the bricking was caused by CWM recovery.
and it is really interesting that you mention your weak hypothesis as if it is the real reason whereas no ERD can do that with that level of certainty.

Yeah, i knew that.....so it might be somewhere else the problem but i don't think they are substantial changes to the eMMC driver that may cause those bricks...

Anyway, for now is just safe to use the update4 source :)

BTW, i don't understand the real meaning of the last sentence, u said my "weak hypothesis", but i don't understand in which way u wanted to mean that

Didn't think u ERD had another forum except the normal RD forum

Just be frank with us, will you ever release an update fixing all the bugs mentioned by users. I can't believe you are taking forever, it felt like **** using a kernel that contains bug. it's been a month, great.. noting is done over this kernel. I will just move on.

Move on then, dude i have a very busy real life and almost no free time (job and studying, for entry exam to the university)

If you can't wait until wednesday, then move on, i don't care

And yes, i will update it as promised
