I am using CWM6_Ganesh_JB_Xperia Ion Recovery , i have locked bootloader . whenever i try to install the same error come ,
Setting symlinks
Symlink : some symlinks failed
E : Error in /sdcard/LT28H_ROM_GF_A4.0.3 Choco.Zip
Status 7
Installation Aborted
One issue will be corrupt Zip file. Re-Download and try flashing again.,
else the problem will be your phone model . i think the zip is corrupted.
zip file is not corrupted. its like, as said earlier, we have to flash ghost kernel n install this rom via MIUI recovery only n once again after installing the rom we have to flaash ghost kernel.
its working fine for me i am using this rom for more than 15 hours now no issues
Check the flashing instruction on op..and pz guys dont act like noob..you can scroll few post back and there you ll be geting everything you want..[emoji111] [emoji111] [emoji111]
I have flashed rom successfully and would like to share instruction for anyone who faced "symlink" like me. I was on stock rom.
The problem is not the Zip file. It because CWM and TWRP can not flash. Miui recovery intergrated in Ghost kernel final works fine.
1. Unlocked bootloader.
2. Go to CWM or TWRP, flash the Ghost kernel final. Then power off the phone.
3. Press Power button + Volumn up to see the Blue led to enter Miui Recovery.
4. Wipe data, cache, davik cache.
5. Flash the rom, then flash Ghost kernel final again.
6. Reboot.

Not necessary.
You can flash the ROM on locked Boot loaders too. He is suggesting to use Ghost kernel because of the Free RAM & Extra Smoothness you get .
I'm using this ROM and on Stock Kernel and i'm happy. Battery is very much OK for me.

Yeah battery backup is superb... The only thing you need to do is disable all the background running system apps via greenify...Not necessary.

I am facing a strange problem , i am using this rom since 3rd Sep 2014, i flashed this rom and all was going well but then i tried the 4.0.3 update
i got the error 7 Symlink Failed , but i tried to flash 3.9.6 again but i still got the same error 7 in with the rom which i already have flashed successfully
i tried TWRP and CWM both but unable to flash these roms ... although i am still successfully able to flash other roms ... please help me i really love this rom ... i am currently using the restored previous rom

If nothing working mate, then flash a stock FTF and repeat everything. a clean flash of this ROM. this helps & works almost 100%.
i even tried this to, gave totally fresh installation , Flashed the .211 Freeware , Rooted the phone, install the Dual Recovery , but still got the same error with both CWM and TWPR ...
i really love this rom ...

First flash ghost kernel and then try to install the ROM.

Thats the reason its not working. It gives error with stock kernel but works fine with ghost kernel.
no necessarily mate, i am on stock kernel.
i flashed this ROM on stock kernel.
Everything working fine for me. I had issues with Ghost Kernel
.@Nouman Warraich Mate unlock your BL , and try it might work for you.

I was facing problem on stock kernel and many others also and its working for you.
Don't know exactly why is it so!!

Flashing procedure:
1) Unlock your bootloader..
2) Flash ghost kernel final... And go to
Miui recovery by holding vol up and
Power button..
3) Wipe factory data reset,cache,dalvik
cache blah blah...
4) Then flash the zip..
5) Reboot the system..go to keyboard
and set language of your choice..
6) Install the exposed framework via
xposed module option under fx
heading and disable all background
runnung apps via greenify and also
install deep sleep battery saver..

In the given flashing procedure... there's no step which mentions when to flash the kernel or this ROM??
can you please update the same...
Flashing procedure:
1) Go to recovery.
2) Then go to storage.
3) Format cache,data and system accordingly.
4) Then factory reset,wipe cache.
5) Advance and then wipe dalvik cache.
6) Reboot system
7) Enjoy..
You can flash ghost kernel before or after flashing the rom:silly:
