wow i was there and it said 4.3 then 30 seconds later i refreshed and 4.4 came out

Appreciate the help.
I found the LG_IME zip file, but can't access Recovery mode (Home+Power?) to install it from the SDCard, as per instructions I've seen. I, instead, just get a black screen, the same as the fastboot screen.
Going to install 4.4. Hopefully this comes with the recovery.img file that is seemingly needed to access recovery mode and install this pesky keypad!

The new update cannot be installed with clockwork recovery! You have to do it with fastboot, as described in the first post! Just as an info
Any info why? I can do it via fastboot (when I finally download it), but why it doesn't work on clockwork? How about AmonRa? Anybody tested it yet?

Update about USB tethering (sharing 3g internet from phone to computer):
there is no support for usb or wifi tethering in this rom because it has no android apps for that in /data/data/ directory. I found that wifi tethering can be enabled using additional application (barnacle wifi tether) but I can't find any solution for USB tethering...

So given the LG_IME keyboard needs Clockwork Recovery to be installed, will that not work with this latest update, that can only be fastbooted?
I really don't fancy flashing Clockwork to my phone to get this keypad on there. Can't see why it was removed in the first place, tbh.

I tested updating with recovery, it doesnt work, must be a mistake in translation.
