I wonder what would happen if you made a Titanium back up of the Garmin App + system data and then we tried to restore it from your Titanium files.....?

I'm using a Garminasus A10 with 2.1-update.
Few things to remind:
Garmin software won't work with 2.2 and above. That's why they dont provide Froyo update. Damn.
There are 2 services called "Garmin online something" running on my phone, and a lot of garmin pieces when I use Titanium to browse.
I will upload those files soon, but I doubt it can work on other phones.

Yes ive got root ive made a backup of every app 30 mb worth .. i can get into recovery and have options but cant select anything?? amy ideas

Doesn't say which app is not installed I guess.
If the android Garmin works anything like the old XT did then the sdcard the maps are kept on will have a DeviceID and will not work if simply copied to another.
So anyone trying the backup option will have to make sure to use the same card that came with the Garminphone. Just to be sure that isn't still being used in some way.
I really hope I can get a working garmin on my D2G. The co-pilot is so bad it won't even let me enter my own address! Thats about the only program I miss from my WM TP

I don't see any where it refers to supporting Android phones...... seems to only be for symbian, windows mobile and iphone.....

that is not garmin.. it is a scam and a rip off on garmin.. they use te garmin icon and make you think it is garmin but it is NOT!

Ok so it seems that this is still ongoing and I saw several members post a request to get specific files in order to extract the app out and make it compatible with other android devices.
And here's an elaboration from ajape.

That's version 3.5, it was a repost from when I originally posted this report on this same thread a while ago. But 3.5 doesn't work on GB (Don't know about ICS, but I should think not as well), you need version 5.0.x or better now, and beware that some of the versions don't accept maps in nm2 format anymore, while some do. I think it's 5.0.1.169 (full version apk, mind) or something like that which you want. This is because anyone can convert any IMG format Garmin map to nm2 very easily just using GPSMapedit, while this is not the case with the new Navitel format nm3. Please remember to convert tiles or maps that leave you with an nm2 map file no larger than 16MB, that's a very common error. Ah! And also, the NavitelContent folder on the root of your SD Card must not have more than 61 nm2 maps at the time, otherwise NAVITEL will give you an error when trying to create it's Map Atlas. And don't worry, Navitel will make Navigation seamless even if your maps are cut differently for conversion purposes than they were originally cut by Garmin. Also, converting NT maps to nm2 may give you an error citing routing issues, if this is the case then you can also repair the routing errors manually and it will be fine, although I personally never actually managed to learn how exactly to go about those repairs in GPSMapedit. But I understand it's not rocket science either, so don't worry and go for it!22probably one or more of these files...

It´s been a while since Garmin has been available for Android already, it´s just really complicated to get it to work properly. Over three days in my case, although it was definitely worth it. Now it´s up to version 2.16, up from the 1.49 you mentioned::
