HELPPPPPP! My Phone is blocked/dammaged/not operating!

I flashed radio with this moded

3805.04.03.22
md5: 07e9af5646ce9942ee6e84184c0425b0

but after the flash no voice for all in/out calls.

Then I thought to reflash the radio with a froyo radio:

38.02.01.17
md5: 2b68f8de282d20c79fbed9391ac053fc

After this the phone keeps a white screen and vibrating periodically. Not possible to enter recovery, no factory reset, ... nothing.

This a a big call for help!

I do have backups, but it seems that radio is backked up. Any idea how restore my phone work again?

Have you tried Fastboot.
Pull your battery, put it back, hold the volume down key and press the on / off switch, than wait.
If you come to the fastboot mode, everything is nice, you can reinstall your recovery, enter this recovery and get your backup restored.

If not.... Uh.... don't know. Sorry.

Yes, I have tried fastboot mode severatl times.

The menu appears. But it does not allow me to choose, for example recovery mode.
In fact, the colume power and up/down keys still work, but whatever item I choose in this menue leads to the same phone behavior: the screens blinks black and white, and the phone vibrates.

Comon on - xda-developers talents! I need help - there should be a way how to reboot my phone. Cannot be possible that just because I flashed radio (apparently with a bad one, though the flashinprocess ended successfully) the phone is ruined.

Do you still have a file named PG32IMG.zip on your SD cards? If so, then everytime you boot to the bootloader screen it will attempt to flash that zip file which could cause the symptoms you are seeing.

No, I dont have any PG32IMG.zip in my sdcard. However, I have tried with/without that file in sdcard.

I thought that giving more precisions may help to help me:)

The phone shows the white hboot screen which reads:

Alpharev
Vivo PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.09.1000
RADIO-3805.05.03.22_M
eMMC-boot

I do have the HBOOT menu. The volume up/down and power keys work.

When I choose fastboot/bootloder it just returns to fastboot.
When I choose Recovery or factory reset (it is a pain to see) the phone blinking black and white with the HTC logo in center, and vibrating. Just this!

I haven't tried the other options of HBOOT menu.

How this happened?

All was fine. I flashed the radio with this 3805.04.03.22, but then no voice for all in/out calls. Then I reflashed the radio with a froyo radio: 38.02.01.17, which created the problem.

I hope/believe there should be a way how to reboot the phone at a workimg state, eventually with factory settings - at this point I don't mind if the phone comes back to S-ON.

You help is much appreciated.

In your particular case have you flashed a GB ROM? If so, then yes you need to flash a GB radio, too. Gingerbread ROMs need a GB radio; Froyo ROMs need a Froyo radio. If you started with a Froyo ROM and flash a GB ROM, you will experience no voice/no sound on phone calls until you flash a GB radio.

Can you guide me on the safety precautions i have to take to flash a radio? What happened to pytha's radio? I'm afraid i end up bricking it :(

Can I flash back to a Froyo radio if the GB radio gives me delayed sms issues?

All the information you need is located in the first post of the thread. Since you have a GB ROM, you need to flash a GB radio to make your phone work again. Now if you made a 'nandroid' backup before you flashed the GB ROM, you can restore that and your voice/sound should work.

As Raithmir has already posted, once you flash a GB radio you will not be able to downgrade and flash a Froyo radio.

Alpharev
Vivo PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.09.1000
RADIO-3805.05.03.22_M
eMMC-boot

Since your HBOOT screen shows the radio is 3805.05.03.22_M, then you need to flash a GB ROM to your phone. If you download the 2.12.405.7 RUU (which matches the radio you currently have flashed) and run it, it may bring your phone back to life.

I am willing to install it. But how?

If I save the file to the root of my sdcard, then how I can tell to the phone to take it?

A RUU file (ROM Update Utility) is run from a Windows PC, so you don't need to put it on the phone. When you execute the RUU, it will walk you through the process and tell you when you should connect your phone to the USB cable.

I downloaded the file

RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.12.405.7_Radio_20.2804.30.085AU_3805.04.03.22_M_release_187295_signed.zip, instead of the .exe one was much faster.

I renamed it to PG32IMG.zip and copied to sdcard. I booted in fastmode. The phone recognized the file and displayed:

SD Checking
Loading ... [PG32DIAG.zip]
No image!
Loading ...[PG32DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Loading ...[PG32IMG.zip]

After this I tried (in fatsboot) reboot, recovery, factory reset.

Nothing better that staying at the hboot menu.

I will try the .exe file once downloaded.

Not sure when you got the zip from but when you get the exe, you can run it and it will extract ROM.zip in your temp files (start > run > %tmp% > sort by date > see newest folder > dig in deep and find rom.zip). Once you fetch that, you have to rename it to PG32IMG.zip and dump it in your SD card.

HBoot should pick it up from there and install it :)

This will not work on a Canadian Incredible S. The RUU you are attempting to install is for the Incredible S model PG3213000 and you have a Inc S model PG3212000, so the HBOOT update will fail with 'Wrong model ID'.

If you have run AlphaRevX and have S-OFF, then you can edit the android-info.txt file in the ROM file and change the modelid value to PG3212000 and then you will be able to flash the ROM.

If you don't have S-OFF, then you need to find a Canadian RUU that you might be able to flash by using a goldcard.

     * thermonuclear war, or the end of the world. Please do some research
     * if you have any concerns about flashing a radio before flashing it!
     * YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the
     * finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. */

    How to Flash:

In order for this to work, the HTC Incredible S needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.

    1. Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Incredible S.
    2. Make sure the filename is PG32IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
    3. Connect the HTC Incredible S to the computer via USB.
    4. On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
      Code:
      adb push PG32IMG.zip /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
      adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PG32IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
      Code:
      adb reboot bootloader
    5. The HTC Incredible S will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
    6. The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
    7. Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Incredible S normally.

Because this awesome vivo community is still alive, I decided to re-upload all vivo radio's. So you guys can even compare more. You should expect a newer Radio is a better Radio, but it's a bit more personal.
