If the "CWM Restore" option with manwithmanypiercing's back-up fails too, try replacing the scatter file in the new SP Flash Tool ROM that I posted today with the attached one and flash again, this time "fac" will not be flashed !!!

Try using his Flash Tool, the difference in flashing is that device has to be connected when you select the scatter file, then press reset button once, flashing will start, then press reset button again after flashing...Then you can boot into CWM :)

I got same result as far as stuck at the first Lenovo screen....BUT I finally succeeded in loading CWR. I had to change the process a little though for it to take.

It kept complaining that I need to download ALL files..and refused to continue. So I took Makbro's stock scatter file....but swapped the preloader, and recovery images from the files we just downloaded in the last step...and BANG!!! I got CWR.

Now to see if I can restore a backup???

UPDATE: Install from sdcard appeared to succeed, but even after performing all wipes...I am stuck in a reboot loop. At least I am one step further.

Maybe my eyes are crossed...but I cannot seem to find the link to manwithmanypiercing's backup? Any chance a guy can get link. I tried to restore the A2107a-f rom you had on dev-host (A2107A-F_S484_121211.zip) but that rom has lead to my reboot loop?

It may sound weird but "bootloop" is good news as compared to being stuck on first Lenovo Logo...Just hold on a bit longer guys, I'll post two ROMs shortly, one for SP Flash Tool (again) and second for those who have managed to flash CWM successfully...

And about manwithmanypiercing's CWM back-up, he sent the link to Camborg80-Trey via PM, not posted on thread !!!

Yet another try at getting the A2107A-F working again...Those with CWM should try S No 1 first !!!

1. CWM Installation ROM (Install zip from sdcard) :

2. SP Flash Tool ROM : QUOTE]

It looked promising because Clockwork did alot more think than in previous attempts...but after reboot it hung at the first levono screen as it has in times past :(

One thing I notice is if I enter stock recovery at this point...it list a large amount of errors like E: can't mount \sdcard, E: can't mount /system, ect...not sure if that is a hint to what is off or not?

I also reformatted NAND, and flashed the SP image...with the same results.. And then loaded the Clock Work Recovery image back...and for giggles tried the Clockwork image one more time. :(

I feel like it's so close we can taste it....

Thanks again for all your time in helping us!!! It is GREATLY appriciated!

please some one helpme I tried all country codes :(
makbro help meee

This is what I and probably many others faced when tried to install another ROM via CWM. I don't know the technical glitch causing it, but the workaround is simply to first flash into your tablet a stock or chinese, whatever you wish, using SP flash tool. It will completely replace everything including that which is making your device stupid enough to work together with custom ROMs. Then install CWM and it would be good to install any of the modded ROMs posted here.

Wish you all the best

Even though another user reported that it didn't seem to work via sp flash tools (unless I'm mistaken), I will still give this sp flash tool a go. In the meantime makbro, I will pm you manwithpiercings' backup and you can edit out the "sensitive" bits of his data (said email was included in it or something and ask that I delete it.

You'll also see the lack of his .tar for the system file (when you origninally asked me to use it). I just PM it to you and we'll see if it does anything! Here we go... :)

Here is the file (I doubt any of us newbs can do anything with it anyway):

Alright, so here's how it went!

Flashing took about 9 min. 30 seconds. Wasn't getting past first lenovo boot logo. Went on ahead and flashed D's recovery.img file (the first one you uploaded) by using SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.01 (this was the ONLY version I could use in order to work. I think it also happens to be the latest one).

Good news! Flashed successfully and I had CWM on the tablet. I tried to run manwithpiercings's backup but kept getting an "Error: installation aborted." message. Just for kicks, I wiped user date/cache and dalvik cache several times then tried installing update from sd card using the F-firmware stock rom.

It staid it installed successfully (as it always did for me), but now after reboot it will go to the first lenovo screen, stay there for 4 seconds...THEN REBOOT! I have NEVER seen this before and in my mind might be a sign that we're on to something!

Like my theory went, I suspected the F-rom via CWM never worked because I had H-FIRMWARE on the tablet at the time. Now since we have F-Firmware, perhaps the tablet really is trying to get it to work or something.

It's still mystery to me, but it feels like we're very VERY close...

manwithmanypiercing's back-up is from the new CWM format and is incomplete without the "blob" files (also made by CWM)...This is compatible with CWM 6.0.1.5...That is why you face errors while trying to restore this back-up, you can never do that without the "blob" files...You can read all about this in the words of CWM developer himself here : https://plus.google.com/103583939320326217147/posts/L5aVZe7C9vg

I am just uploading another try at the CWM flashable .zip...Because of the bootloop now, I feel with more assurance that the device can be fixed!!!

    New links for ROMs

ROMs uploaded on Dev-Host server ... No bugs except USB OTG and extra Language support, sorry about that

Please remember to back-up your "/data/nvram" folder from your stock before flashing and replace after flashing these so that you all don't use wrong IMEIs, MAC addresses, Serial number etc. Also do all three wipes before flashing (data, cache and dalvik cache)...And yes, be patient cause the first boot after flashing may take up to 3 minutes...

All files posted here are to be flashed using CWM recovery with "Install zip from sdcard" option !!!

    A2107A-H European Stock ROM : http://d-h.st/JhV

    1. For complete power-off in LeWa modded ROM, you have to un-check "settings--->Accessibility--->Quick Boot"
    2. May have to install the patch (link below) to set internal sdcard as default memory after flashing modded Foxtrot and LeWa ROMs

    Sure, no problem !
After several hours of search and difficulties to register onto Chinese websites ;)
I managed to find the attached file. I take no credit for the tool because it was developped by someone else (SNARL I guess)
It was missing the superuser apk inside so I put it back and also translate the steps to English.

    Here are the steps :
    - Connect the tablet in Debug USB mode
    - Launch root.bat
    - The device will reboot at each of the 3 steps

If you need more info, don't mind to ask!
