I have made app drawer this way, with no upper line and fade out dots indicators. This scenario allows the app drawer with 5x4 cells, in future.

This is the normal way, the cell contents are vertically aligned within cell space, so two lines label and icon are larger then one line label, but in v5.1 I can change the labels with one or two lines to align at the first line top coordinate. do you agree?

Finally I succeeded to decompile HomePreferences, I've included the Hungarian translation, the values-hu folder. View attachment values-hu.zip

Serajr: if you have a little time, please make a short documentation about how the Settings work in v5 so I can help in modding.

Gustavão... primeiramente fiquei te devendo a resposta sobre o novo S51SE fw, eu estava sem tempo para ver isso, trabalhando pra terminar essa nova home, então agora vou dar uma olhada se consigo e te dou um retorno... foi mal !!!

Ok... I can do it, but on desktop, if they are allways on, I need to put a top margin to prevent they overlap icon and widgets. But this involves reducing the height of four desktop lines and consequently some stock widgets did not fit properly, but this for dock version only, for corners version is possible.

se possível adicionar, seria bom, se não, não faço muita questão dos dots ficarem sobre apps ou widgets, até porque não atrapalha em nada

sobre o texto dos apps eu poderia dar a sugestão
quando muito compridos não utilizar uma segunda linha assim cortando em modo fade o final do texto, mas veja bem, só estou dando uma opinião

Thanks... The indicators fade out after a little time, but I will come back to v4.1 app drawer scenario.

I'm not sure if i got you right but what i had in mind is somehow make the icon always setting at the top of the cell so all icons are on the same horizontal level, maybe you' re saying the exact same thing i do.

Also when you change the home screens e.g. from 5 to 3 although it says that Home will be restarted it doesn't.Unless it's something we have to do manually.

In v4.1 all icon/folder labels with one or two lines, the first line were align. so I will rebuilt v5.1 like v4.1.

Yes, home restarts on some preference changes, in backgroung. If you think the message is unnecessary, we can take it out from code.

I think that building like 4.1 would be great

No no...i don't think you should take it out from code it's better this way so users know what's going on, even if they really don't know what's going on

I just didn't know if it really restarted or not cause i didn't observe anything happening like disappearing and coming back again.Something similar to when closing explorer.exe on windows

Not an expert but i mention it in case something was not working right.

Keep it up like that and count me in for future help

So we keep restart message, ok. The restart occurs immediately after changing a preference, and is transparent to the user. About square folder, like original xperia, yes, I can revert back v4.1 square folder icon. What about?
