i think i have lcd display color problem. when my tab was inside my bag, the bag fell together with my tab inside. strangely after, i noticed that there are some strange colors appearing already.

i tried using dead fixel detect and fix, and it has been gone after two days. after watching 2 hours of movies yesterday, its back and getting bigger.

i tried using screen helper lite, and by testing it, the color yellow was cut into half. one is light yellow above and the other the true yellow. some say a massage of the lcd screen will let this disappear?

the strange colors only appear on the upper half of the screen!

anyone who can help me with this? any reply or inputs will be greatly appreciated....

Yup its still in warranty. Im just worried about the time it will take to repair this in the service center here?

Hi, Do you have a sample image of how it appears to look like, thus to give us an idea and others here that might be able to help you better upon viewing the sample image of your device's LCD problem?

I'm also worried though (god forbid) since i usually place my tab in between my 14 inch. laptop in my backpack.

I used "'Display Tester". Here are screen captures.

See what happened to the yellow and cyan colors, they are cut into half! And the other tests obviously shows there is really a problem!

Any solution to this? Or i just have this repaired to the service center?

Hmm... I can't seem to notice though, maybe something's wrong with my eyes or rather my monitor.. but anyways i am not saying i know everything about lcd's but given that it fell although inside your bag may have caused a miss alignment of the lcd films since i am for sure that lcd's were built with layers of films. And another thing is that it may have caused the flex cable to slightly move due to the sudden impact. My last thought is that your tab still has warranty and should be sent for repair. the question is if they will find out that it was not caused by a factory defect but by man made accident although i know it's not intentional. But i hope someone here will give another thought or anyways to help you fix your tab without the need to visit the repair shop. It's a pain in the ass here in the Philippines that our service centers takes a long time to fix our devices.

Bud, Can you hold on at least a few days until someone will post a reply with the best solution? and if nothing seems to work then it's time for a visit to the nearest service center.

I had the tab done for repair at the Samsung service center at the cyberzone sm north edsa last wednesday morning. They had done test to replace the lcd but the problem is still there. They decided to replace the entire motherboard with no extra cost to me becoz its still in warranty. They say that the if there is an available board they can gave the unit back to me in 2 hrs!

Wow. Im so impressed with samsung with their customer support! I had an lg optimus black before with board replacement and it took 3-4 weeks to get back the unit becozthe board will be coming from korea!

But sad to say there's no available board at that moment. They ask me either friday or saturday for an update ang behold i got a text message frkm them that the unit is avail
