hey guy im running 06-Mar-2010: DeepShining X5.21895 rom and i get the ere my phone will not come out f sleep mode is there a cab to ix this?

i see this post alot i have a tmobile tp2 and it has never happen to me ...is it only att user running into sleep mode

Has anybody tried installing Swype keyboard on the 21895 ROM? Does it work? I installed Dutty's Swype keyboard from http://htcpedia.com/duttys_ime_swype_eb39564dab24a6471/soft/leo-apps but it killed my OS by removing all my email accounts & disable my 3G connections. Even after uninstalling, it does not help

I was using Jackos ROM.

Which is when i flashed to Deepshining but would still like to use Swype keyboard. Anybody knows if it works?

the current deepshining roms should already have swype. click the right side of the keyboard button onscreen to choose it

Im running tilt2 with att and my phone will not stay in 3g is there a way to make it stay on 3g at all time unless there is not 3g but were i live it all 3g and my phone will not stay on 3g help?

X4 & X 5 Roms Sleep and Die

I must say that your last two ROms on the 21XXX build have been flawless. So Compliments on some great cooking.

However there are two issues which have bothered me on both X4 & X5. I have flashed the ROMS as per the prescribed proceedure of Stock ROM ---->X4/X5-----> Hard reset.

a) The screen just freezes over it becomes blank I dunno whether this is the SOD issue that people have been talking about in the forums, but i thought it was the 23XXX builds and not on the 21XXX builds. The phone wont come back on again until I have removed the battery from the back and reset the phone .

b) Would have an alternative to the wooden background on which the Windows log is there, thought your earlier screen on X4 looked better coordinate. Is there any way to change it.

The only mod that I have done to the standard ROM is used registry hack to enable BB Connect to work besides that nothing. Any help would be appreciated else I will have to be bored again.

I can not make it work!!!

I followed the instructions as you said.. But I get an error while hardSPL that "your device is already unlocked once". When i run custonRUU.exe it goes till progress bar on both PC and device and nothing happens for a while and gives an option to recover... I like this ROM very much. Please help me soon..

sure you dont have a cdma phone? if it says your device is already unlocked once it usually means your phone is already hardspl'd.

Ya.. It's not a CDMA phone. It's a stand alone handy with ROM ver: 1.86.401.1. What should I do next to make it work???

sorry i've never had any problems with flashing my phones so i dont have much experience. do you get the tri color screen when you hold vol down? have you tried another rom? maybe try flashing through sd card?

Error [294] : Invalid vender id

Please.. Please help me... I get an "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID" when I do Stock ROM upgrade.. Why is this???

googled the error and it could be either:
error message will appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device. Make sure you use the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade.

or your SPL is screwed up.

also make sure your stock rom is made exactly for your phone

x5 unstable...

Hi,

I have run all your roms from the erly versions and all x1-5...

There been good almost everytime... but...

x5 both version I had have a lot of problems with hangings when booting, had to reinstall etc...
today I installed x5 21895 and like the old scool better... but..

after setting up my active sync and some other standard apps.. LastPass, 16 buttons, Swedish keybord file,, did a reboot.. the phone was working fine for some hour... then suddenly i could not respond to an SMS..
I did a reboot and all my mail and SMS where gone??
The active sync was still setup and working/syncing but all my contacts where gone to.

Don't know if its the x5 (hope so, so its not my phone)

Will try x4 again.

You can change the background in the Settings Tab - Pesonalize.

I think you should flash a stock rom first and X5 after because I dont have this issue, mine is running fine.

I dont think cookies home tab mod (although cant be 100% sure) would cause it. I would imagine a lot of folks would have reported it by now. You never know though, but you are right about it happening on soft reset if you dont have the screen on.

Not sure its just ATT folks as I think I've seen others not on ATT.

Had mine lockup as well. But, after some use with my apps installed. It took about 4-5 hrs and weirdly enough, only with Manila enabled. I installed some apps, ran the phone for a little bit. Then went to reboot and I couldnt get the home screen to respond if manila was enabled. So, enabled titanium and device was responsive again. Going to try and flash stock though and back to the rom as I flashed another 23544 rom and had the same problem.

edit**Just tracked it down to corrupt sd card. I pulled it, then restarted the phone and now sense loads fine on reboot. Try reformatting sd card or pulling it and see if you still have lockups. Now, I just need to figure out how to get my startmenu selection png to show up after changing the start menu back to 3 rows.

just flashed this rom, and settled everything up include Pin lock code on todayscreen, until i read this; pin lock code does not work with the new LockScreen (X5.23544).

now i cannot open my phone...
what shall i do?
please help..

PS: i do not think i forget my pin, but in case htat is the case? what shall i do?

Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is hard reset. And then ask (very nicely

) if dotcompt wouldnt mind making the cab for the lockscreen uninstallable on his next version, so you can go back to the default (htc) lockscreen.

problem solved now..just flashed the rom once again..
thanks god the active sync is connected although the screen locked..

and i managed to flash the rom without flashing the stock rom first..

hope i did not get a problem because of it..
