Alright I got all logged in, and I wanted to install open office. After having done difficulties, I read that I had to remove libreoffice, so I did using synaptic. I try to install open office, then my system ui, all the window bars. Everything disappears. I try a reboot, and now I'm stuck in a screen that says: ubuntu (some version number) tf700 login: I've tried every login and pass I could think of. Any suggestions?
EDIT: ok I figured out the password, but Im still stuck at a black terminal screen. No UI or anything, just says:
Ubuntu@tf700:~$ _
Underscore is flashing
Also with the release of the sdk of the ubuntu for tablet, anything new we can expect?
I got in, now facing a new delema.
How do I install open office, or something similar, so i can access ppts on the linux side. I cant find an Open Office that is armhf compatible
I'm trying to install it again, had to remove only to find out I can't run. The lag spikes are really really tough to get through though
Here is a video showing a dualboot with Ubuntu and CROMI (sorry for bad quality):

My problem might be that I am thinking tablet more than pc, but is there anyway to backup installed programs similar to titanium backup in android?
All the best,

I would also be interested to hear if it's actually possibleHi guys!
My post is not actually going with general thread flow, but still...
Can anyone with NVflash try to get official ubuntu for Nexus 10 running on our TF700?
I would done this myself, if i was sure it wount brick my tablet :/
Here's link to post in Nexus 10 forum.
Well you probably would be better off trying to flash for the nexus 7 since it is a tegra 3 SoC just like the TF700. I noticed that Ubuntuwiki is going to have a porting guide up tomorrow.
For some reason i thoight Nexus 10 was based on Tegra 3 as well, my fault :silly:
Thanks, I think ill give it a try tomorrow evening, hope nothing goes wrong.
Yeah, I'm already dive into it. Ubuntu Touch using android to boot & show its qml view. This is interesting, but really hard to pack in separated rootfs.I would wait until rabits gets a chance to go through it. The installer from Ubuntuwiki does a device check before installing.
I would like to prepare this howto (after stabilization and fixing minor bugs) for general users. But thanx for you response - brainy people do not come here?Really appreciate you effort! Why not post this in the developers forum, where you might get some good inputs from other brainy people like yourself.
How does this vary from the other Ubuntu effort? Why not combine resources?
