I've never been a big fan of the yellow XDA theme, and I've never seen a way to change it, so I grabbed the CSS from the site and put it into Stylish, a Firefox CSS tweak extension, and modified it so the yellow tones are changed to different colors, see the full list below. It also narrows the page to 'only' 1200 pixels, in case you're using it on a huge monitor and don't want the page being that wide. It's easy to edit at the top of the code if you don't like that change.

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else would want this sort of thing. I'm NO CSS ninja, I just clumsily hacked on it. The XDA icons are still yellow/brown, some of the links in the Dark Grey probably need tweaking.

Thanks to sickbox the bug in my CSS edits which make the top bar with User CP/FAQ etc disappear when you hover over the links is fixed!

The Stylish code is here, you'll need Firefox+Stylish Extension, Greasemonkey, or Opera to use it.

NEW! XDA 2010 Theme!

Blue - http://userstyles.org/styles/43606?r=1296614893

Above is my initial shot at converting the 2010 XDA theme to a blue. Once I work out the places to change, I can pretty easily add Greys etc. Help would be appreciated!

New!! XDA 2015 Themes

For the Dark theme
Blue - https://userstyles.org/styles/106066/xda-developers-2015-dark-theme

For the default (light) theme
Blue - https://userstyles.org/styles/106068/xda-developers-2015-light-theme

For 2015 I've only modified areas with wasted space and changed the font from Orange to Blue. It's still in beta a bit, I still have some clean up I'd like to do but I think it might be useful to some people.

Hope it's useful to some folks. I'm using it full time. :)

Good idea, I'd personally go with more subdued colors. I'd recommend http://kuler.adobe.com to find a complementary combination of blues.

Ha, that's the one I was poking at once you directed me. I'm gonna do that. Plus I think I'll find a good set of Green and Red. Already put in a Grey. I'm not going to make a dozen themes, but I'm up for suggestions. :)

im liking the blue theme too :) just a few images off color but im sure you will figure that out soon. im using it with the new vbulletin plugin for firefox which has a menu bar on the bottom so the disappearing links at the top dont bother me either. thanks for doing this, its nice to have a change of scenery every now and then.

How to get this working in Opera (hope nobody sent it yet):

Open the code in post #1, copy the all source code except the mozilla stuff (@namespace and @-moz-document)

Now, open eg notepad, put there all the text and save it as eg C:\xda.css
Now in Opera, open xda forums -> right click -> Edit local preferences -> Display (Graphics??) and there will be select for User CSS. Select the C:\xda.css -> click OK -> reload page and voila :)

Looks like maybe I should be bumping this thread every so often! Glad people are enjoying it. :) I know I immediately install UserStyles and the Blue theme when I jump on a computer which doesn't have it, that Yellow just kills me.

I've added a userstyle for the 2015 themes, this time it's a rather simple mod, just removing some wasted space and changing font colors from orange to blue. It's in the OP, hope it's useful :)

Just make sure you only have the light or dark activated, per your theme. If you have the wrong one activated the fonts will be the wrong darkness ;)
