Do you have any idea how many devices that XDA already provides a home for? Unless there's a SERIOUS audience for a device, it won't be added. They've said this so many times before. You probably won't get a reply from the Mods.

Same here buddyy.... even I've requested alot but got no positive response........ feels like throwin my device or cracking this website..... :mad: there's no developer of galaxy fit available here.......... also guyz I've seen developers for galaxy mini here where its a very low end device...... n our device is a competitor to lg optimus 1 whose forum is also available n many dev.s are also avialable for it.... so y r device is treated so bad..... don't kno....?????

I don't think you guys get it, you're not getting a forum if they don't think there's enough demand for it.

5 of you asking over and over again won't change that.

I checked with the magic 8 ball and it said "Chances not so good". Im pretty sure XDA's magic 8 ball must have said the same thing, hence the lack of a forum. Cheers

I'm telling you, you need a much larger demand than just the few of you.

Have you reached out to anyone with the phone who's messed with it? Perhaps a system dump? Maybe seeing if the hardware is similar enough to something to port?

You can't just jump in, make requests, and assume XDA will magically make it happen, guys.

    Clockwork Recovery version 4.0.05 and latest CM7 ROM on Galaxy Fit!!



    Finally managed to do the following:

    I/ Install successfully Clockwork Recovery version 4.0.05 on Galaxy fit.



    1: Go to samfirmware.com Galaxy Fit page:
    Login - www.SamFirmware.com

    2: Download the 2.2 FROYO firmware labelled S5670XXKB1 (This is a russian

    firmware but you can easily change language to English)

    3: Flash the firmware over your current one with help of ODIN. Follow the

    guides at samfirmware.com

    4: Install the latest version of Samsung Kies Samsung Kies 2.0.2.11071_128_2


    5: Connect your Galaxy Fit with S5670XXKB1 & Kies will popup message a new

    firmware is available.

    Firmware details : S5670XXKPL (GINGERBREAD.XXKPL)( This is an Android 2.3.4)

    6: Follow the steps to update firmware through Kies.

    7: Change the language back to English from Russian.


    II. Steps to root your S5670XXKPL Gingerbread :

    Note. SuperOneClick or any other similar apps don't work on 2.3.4 yet.

    Before going through the process of rooting you have to download a small file

    named upd_1.zip

    I have attached the file here.

    1: Once you have downloaded the file copy it to your SD card. For ease of

    work copy it in root of SD card.

    2: Switch off your handset and wait till the vibration is over.

    3: Now switch the phone in recovery mode. Press and hold Power button +

    middle menu button together to start in recovery mode.

    4: Once you are in recovery mode you will get lot of options on screen. In

    recovery mode touchscreen does not work, so use the volume up/down buttons to

    toggle through options. To confirm options press the middle button.

    5: Go to the second option i.e apply update from SD card.

    6: Upon selecting the second option you will need to select the

    fileupd_1.zip. Press the middle button to apply changes.

    7: It takes 2-3 seconds to install the update.

    8: Once the above step is complete, reboot your system from the first option.

    9: As the phone reboots you will have super user in it. Your phone is rooted

    now.

    III. Now Flash Clockworkod Recovery :


    Download :tass-recovery-cwm.tar( file attached)
    Open S5570_Odin Multi Downloader v4.38.exe
    Select TASS.Ops on OPS Section( file attached)Now
    Check One Package in Option
    Select tass-recovery-cwm.tar on One Package Section
    Press Start to start flashing
    After flashing is complete , Reboot your Galaxy Fit by Pressing and holding

    both power and Home buttons simulataneously.

    Congratualtions you have now Clockworkod Recovery version 4.0.0.5 installed

    on your Galaxy fit instead of the useless stock recovery image.

    IV.You can now Install the latest CM7 ROM ( update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-tass-KANG-

    signed.zip) by tj_style. Google it to download it.

    1/Flash Cyanogenmod update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-tass-KANG-signed.zip) by tj_style.

    Google it to download it. ROM :
    Download and copy the update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-tass-KANG-signed.zip ROM to SD Card
    Reboot to Recovery Mode
    Select install zip from sd card
    Select choose zip from sd card
    Select the new update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-tass-KANG-signed.zip ROM
    Select Yes - Install update
    Wait till the Installation is finish
    Select reboot system now

    Congratulations you have now the latest CM7 ROM installed on your Galaxy fit.

    Thanks are due to the great work by tj_style and mysticguy of xda development . . What I did was to compile data for Galaxy Mini from them both to apply for Galaxy Fit.

    Installation:-
    1. Make sure your wifi or bluetooth are turned off.
    2. Backup your system/bin/wpa_supplicant through root explorer. Just in case you want to revert back.
    3. Download the file from attachments.
    4. Flash it in recovery.
    5. Then all adhoc networks would be shown with a star sign.
    6. Just in case it does not work... then try typing "chmod 755 /system/bin/wpa_supplicant" in adb or terminal emulator, after giving su permissions, rw access and switching off wifi and bluetooth.
    7. If you want to revert then copy the original wpa_supplicant to the /system/bin and repeat step 6

    actually its hardware prob... not software... 2day gave it to service center.... wen its back i wil make the CM7.1 work on FIT with the permission of tj_style... Actually i flashed MINI version of CM and it worked... and also his recovery... So all of u have to wait till my phone gets back...
