Help Please ASAP :)

Hello i have a HTC one V it is also rooted, It is getting really slow and i need to restore it. All i wanted to know is if i restore it thru factory reset will it still have root and will it delete all the apps off the phone. I am not sure what guide i used it might be this one http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1869667 i did it a year ago. Any help would be great

All your apps will be lost, but you can backup them with Titanium Backup, and restore after flashing ROM. Root is safe and will stay after factory reset. Additionally all (custom) ROMs have SU included, so you will have root access right after finishing first ROM configuration.
