People bricking trough factory data reset on an unrooted phone will probably get a replacement from Samsung
My point was that we can't legally blame them or demand anything (page 3) and they won't support things like xda at fear of being held responsible for user error

Tell them how you really feel about superbrick. Says for us products only but if they "care" word should spread
Hmm! I think that this is true for a normal situation, when the brick is happening rarely, just here and there, for weeks we are out of this scenario. Not blame to samsung (though we should) nor held responsible..., but at least triggering a signal alarm, make it public and puting theme to work for future software release and devices..., Or at least we should try!
But we know absolutely nothing about how common bricking is for the normal non xda user and if bricking is only common amongst flasaholics there is little to no chance of Samsung even replying to such complaints and the general public could not care less I'm afraid

To the people who already flashed the LPF CF-Kernel: Are the wifi problems real?
Sent from my Galaxy Note running ICS
Wrong.
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/GT-N7000ZBAXEU-downloads
Download the ICS manual. Go to Page 174.
"Factory Data Reset" is right there.
I also wonder: Would it make sense to just flash the new LPF CF-Kernel and keep the LPY rom? Would it work or is it clear that this would fail? What do you think?

Note that this one is untested - as I don't have my Note currently. I also do not know whether this kernel suffers from the flash bricking bug.
Hi Chainfire
This kernel to the same crooked, Root on it as a wry running, the system is mounted through the times, the most simple bootloader tezhe firmware -service leaks, there are always included...
The only thought that su, busybox binary is not suitable, but then why sgs2 it works fine?
I went back to stock lpf after having the wifi issues with cf kernel and trying what I could think of to fix it (to no avail). Now rooted using the temp cwm-> install busybox/su-> upgrade to supersu in cwm
Skipping this kernel for now but look forward to using future iterations.

He means he doesn't believe/don't understand Chainfire.
Don't worry, that's in russian DNA - do not value professional, but own opinion.
