I just checked and I don't have that shading on the tab.

I installed Smoothrom several time every time it is the same. Shading shows up when I open multiple tab..
Did you selected chrome while installing the rom or you did it after installation??
Thanks..

HTC One XL via SwiftKey

I tried every known function of the calculator and it's ok..
Maybe there is something else wrong...

Just came back to this from being on CM for some time.

I can't believe how much smoother this is with Franco's kernel than CM!

Are y'all running francos or motly's? 'Cuz really, what else are you going to run? :p

^ He figured it out. It was his theme. Maybe an alloy as stated before.

AW: [ROM][Feb 09][4.2.1] SmoothROM v4.4-Smoothest ROM-Deodex-Zipalign-Tablet UI-Stabl

I would also love to try Franco, but I need CIFS and NFS, and as far as I know there is no way to mount CIFS/NFS shares with Franco. (Or am I wrong??)

So I use Motley which is more stable than Bricked and has slightly better battery time.

No idea but you could ask the dev to merge that changes from motley source code :)

Maybe you should try installing some third-party calculator apps before re-installing...

I'm using the latest version of Franco(r47) and everything is running good. I do wish I could OC a bit as I experience some slight UI lag sometimes, not all the time, just when moving some icons around.

With a little research you can do it by yourself.

I changed the height of the navbar to 40 with a tool named something like "Framework Flasher". You have to search on XDA for it, I think someone originally used it on a Galaxy Nexus or so.

The framework-res.apk on your device must be decompiled, edited and recompiled, then flashed with CWM. The mentioned tool makes the process simpler and less error-prone.

Anyone else having difficultly keeping root access after rebooting? Ive flashed this rom several times, and every instant after I reboot, root access is lost, and can not be restored using toolkits.

I have no issue with Rooting in my case, it should be fixed on SmoothROM v4.4. Try to switch to 'SuperUser' instead of using SuperSU I guess

As has been said in this thread many times, UNCHECK Respect CM Root Settings in SuperSU and it will work like magic.

Why is my rom slow?

I had around 5300+ while using the earlier version but not I have 3800. I am using the M-kernel. Is this because I installed without doing factory reset? I just wiped cache and installed the latest version.

    Installation

If CWM ask you to 'Disable Recovery Flash' after install, select no ! It will remove the files needed for the init.d support.

Please do not restore a 'system' data backup as it would overwritte some important files

    Easy Way

    • Use JROMFlasher (Click here) to wipe your data, flash custom recovery, upload my ROM

    Hard Way

    • Require Custom Recovery
    • Copy the ROM to the root of your SDCard (/sdcard).
      - You can copy/paste it from Windows Explorer.
      - You can download the ROM from your device. It will be generally located in /sdcard/downloads
      - You can use ADB : 'adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/' for Windows and Mac/Linux : './adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/'
    • Boot into Recovery
    • Wipe all cache and userdata
    • Flash the ROM from custom Recovery

SmoothROM v5.3 is under its way with Android 4.3 AOKP!
I have been working on it secretly since a while now! It works pretty flawless to me as today! :) There are very few bugs that should be fixed soon. I am not done merging SmoothdROM v5.2 optimisations and I also found new optimisations that could be done including a huge one :)

No ETA yet but keep in mind I am working on it!
