Sent from my MB526 using XDA

simple answer no

Check the guides but you can try the builds for defy plus or

Flash the froyo for bl6 sbf root and 2nd init then the ics builds will work, then apply battery fix

Just finished installing CM9-NIGHTLY-120406-Defy.zip and I must say system stability is increased in this build.

Only cons as of now >> Opera mobile doesnt work. I uninstalled Opera Mobile and installed Opea Mini. Opera Mini worked fine.

Network performance is good & battery performance as well.
Phone also doesnt heat while running app's like in earlier build.

All the best guys !!!

Will the zip be able to update from miui/wiui? Just boot recovery, clean cache/data then install from zip, then clean cache/data again? Or is there more i need to do?

Should work. Just wipe everything and install the CM9 zip from sd. As all these ROMs are based on the Froyo kernel switching between them after wiping data and cache is no problem usually.

I haven't seen it reported here yet, but for me and some others on another forum the Amazon kindle app doesn't work. It doesn't really force close (no failure notice) but just returns to the app drawer after showing the splash screen shortly. One user said that it was working with Quarx's version.

Edit: just noticed it's already in the bug report thread - sorry.

Did you enabled root/superuser access to apps in developer menu?

Küldve az én Desire HD/Inspire 4G-emről Tapatalk használatával.

Sorry have not found such option in System settings.

Hi,

In latest build the assigned ringtones to contacts are not played in my defy. The global ringtone played for every call.

Did I miss something? Cleared cahce and Dalwik cache too after update.

    maybe a new hope :

+nadlabak: Epsylon3: I've got it! SGX PVR 1.8 running despite the locked milestone kernel :D
    41
yes, like for CM10 ... JB is a kind of Cleanup of ICS which was very experimental.... Its always better the second time, but not all features are merged yet in main CM repos... but almost all...

So we are making a common repo for Defy and Defy+ also, and only this version will have official support... CM9 is already dead ;p
    41
I suppose the image means that the hack in the DEFY's kernel to replace the PVR code is a success. Damn... I was hopeful, but this is beyond expectations! Great job devs!

To be honest though, I'm not in a hurry to jump to ICS, it still has many bugs that don't exist in CM7.2, like some issues with the Data connection and WiFi issues I've been reading here in these forums. Maybe by Fall or Winter this year it will be stable enough for picky users like me ;).

I was expecting problems, but no, that solve almost all problems without any other change !

I think CM9 will be replaced by CM10, like Froyo after Eclair ... Time will tell us
