Hi there,

I hope this is the right place to post this. Does anyone know if the root is available for the Yoga Tablet? Or what is the step by step process to create the files to root an Android device?

Thanks in advance

Framaroot works fine. Just download its APK and run it.

Use the latest version 1.8.0. Just did it myself. Boromir doesnt work. Faramir worked for me.

Do not work for 10 Yoga 3G. When will the new version FRAMAROOT? Do you know how to make it work easy. I need to install some fonts to make me correctly displayed documents.

Hi to all. I have a problem with Framaroot. No version works, I tried to use several exploits. It seems that the problem is in the presence of the 3G module. As mentioned in the previous message of koniss.

Security: unknown origins on
Options for Development (7 click on build number): Debug on

The data on my tablet are:

Lenovo B8000-H
Android Version
4.2.2
MOLY.WR8.W1248.MD.WG.MP.V15.P11,2013/09/26 14:37
Kernel version
3.4.5
Build version
B8000_A422_000_045_131111_WW_3GDATA
Software version
B8000_131008
Hardware Version
Lenovo B8000-H

If anyone has any simple test to do it. Thank you and I apologize for my English

Framaroot does not work on the 3G models (B8000-H) with this build version.
You have to try Kingo root.

Lenovo just released a new system update. Some minor bugfixes and new bloatware.

B8000_A422_000_045_131111_WW_3GDATA ==> B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA
Size is 102MB.

I hope to have no problems when I update to the new version (B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA)
, now that I have root privileges. Thank you, Kingo, IngoZ and koniss.

New android version with root

I have done download of the new Android version but I stopped before the update, I have just to confirm with OK.

I have to go:

B8000_A422_000_045_131111_WW_3GDATA ==> B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA

Before I update with the new version of Android I have made a backup with Titanium.

My questions are:

I have to remove the root before updating? I have to uninstall SuperSU (Kingo root) as a precaution?
Where is the file of updating on the tablet ? It is invisible inside the cache directory ? I would like to make a backup just before update.

Thank you.

Update is done correctly

Update is done correctly. Before doing the update I did "Unroot complete" in the menu SuperSU: so this has uninstalled this application

Then I upgraded to the current version of Android for Yoga 10"

Finally I connected the tablet to the pc and I redid the procedure with Kingo root.

Now I have B8000_A422_000_062_131225_WW_3GDATA just rooted.

I did this because I did not know exactly how he behaved the tablet. It worked for me. I hope it is understandable what I wrote.

    Re: Root for Yoga Tablet

I used this thread to root my Yoga Tablet 8 and it worked great. I also have one of the Lenovo A1000L tablets and this method worked for that model as well. Here is the link to the thread.
