Hey guys.

I'm running the BroodROM RC2 with the Cranium v6 1900MHz kernel.
As far as i know, BroodROM contains Adrenaline Shot.

Now my question is, would you recommend replacing it with the newest Thunderbolt?
If so, how is it done?

links to some guides would be nice if you have some. Don't write too much because of a noob

You need to delete contents of init.d and system/etc/sysctl.conf then you can flash thunderbolt or else it will clash with adrenalin shot. you can scroll the thread - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=

I installed this fantastic rom broodromrc2 , then feamod kernel as explained at top of thread .
all works perfectly on my sgs+, thanks to Author !!!

Now want to install cranium V6 to optimize battery life.

Please can you describe what are steps to acheive it properly ?

Hi. I hope you enjoy my rom. You can install cranium kernel by following the next steps:

1. Download one of the kernels from this page: http://sakindia123.prophecy.li/downloads/cranium-rom-kernels
2. Put one those files on /sdcard/
3. Reboot the phone to recovery menu using the power menu.
4. When you are in CWM, go to install zip from sdcard
5. Choose install zip from internal sdcard
6. Choose the kernel file, install,
7. Reboot and you are done

Working on broodROM Configurator atm.

When you start the app you will get a check for the ROM version (can be turned off with parameter)

Arabic keyboard & RTL Support

Hey guys. quick question..

Can I somehow add Arabic support to swype keyboard? I used to have it in stock rom and I have a nandroid backup of it.. can I add support to viewing RTL languages as well?? cuz Arabic letters aren't connected together and are viewed LTR..

A guy posted an automated software to do that last part, but it didn't work.. will look for its link to show u

Thanks! I just re-did it from the instructions in the blog.. and it worked perfectly.. & For the Arabic keyboard I removed swype with romtoolbox and installed swype BETA with swype-installer, which allows me to download as many languages as I want..

Ass u can see below...06setcpugov, 07setio and 08batterytweaks is not working...what i do to check it is, delete no frills, turn off phone last night...this morning, run terminal emulator to check if the script was running correcthly but its not...

The 08batterytweak is somehow i think can make it the manual way, see pic below...can i edit the script dirty_expire_centisecs in proc/sys/vm??? And change its default value 200 to 500???

hmm the battery tweak should be

So, if i change the default system script (dirty expire centisecs)
The 08batterytweak is no longer needed...am i right? But i'm afraid if i change the default script the phone will stuck or something???

that should be right yes, but I don't know if the value is put back to it's default at a reboot

to edit it safe:

go in adb shell

su
stop
echo "500" > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_expire_centisecs
echo "1000" > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
reboot

This will freeze the entire phone so no damage could cause from changing the commands (I have no idea if it could even cause any trouble changing it real life, using the stop command solves it tho)

brood, your main gui doesn't make clear what to do after configuration. but looks great.
why do you have install-buttons everywhere? is choosing the option not enough?

how will it work at all? the configurator generates a rom which you then put on your sdcard to flash it via cwm?

batch looks good as well.
