hey, first, thanks for your work, love your kernels.
second, i have two questions:
1. why are you changing the bootlogo that often? i liked the yellow "xray" best so far.... i HATE the white sony screen.
2. is it possible in any way to raise the maximum oc frequency? with doomlords gb-kernel
you could overclock your ray to 2ghz (and mine is stable with that), but that kernel is just for gingerbread. and the maximum of 1,6ghz makes me kinda sad
gonna try AOkp rom tonight ... let's see how ur new kernel is... will try to fix video... pray I succeed...
I am right? These kernels do not support iptables? NO FIREWALL WILL WORK
I am right? These kernels do not support iptables? NO FIREWALL WILL WORK
I am using MIUI 2.4.20 from iriijo and iptables/netfilter don't work, so i cant use droidwall...
my method
1) MUST have kernel with cwm (any kernel)
2) backup current rom
3) flash kernel
4) full wipe data/reset
5) install rom (new)
6) reboot
7) enjoy
8) suprising
9) sleep with smiling
You are right, after playing around droidwall is working.. thanks
Do the XRay v6 supports ntfs?
I followed this to step 8....but then the surprises kept me awake.......I thought pink unicorns were supposed to be lucky....I had 3 issues, one was that the USB mount kept dropping, one was a battery drain at ~10% per hour and the last is system monitor - it is tracking the battery drain (I get the graph) but not what is using up the battery (no break down into display, Android OS, etc.) I flashed the .70 baseband and that didn't help. I "fixed" the USB problem with "USB mode switch for SGS1 on CM" from the app store....it's not really a fix, more of a work around. I tracked the battery drain to the gps being set to "on"....turning the gps to "off" fixed the battery drain...now it is about 2% per hour with wifi and 3G on all the time.
The xr-aokp kernel is working really nicely now....the pink touches in the boot logo are a perfect match with the ROM! So far no lags, no launcher redraws, no forced closes, etc.....
Well, AFAIK you can only get the ramdisk from a boot.img and not the kernel sources..
First Thing First: How To Install Custom Kernel
1) You need to UNLOCK BOOTLOADER using one of these method. I'm NOT responsible of what you've decide. Please follow instruction carefully.
-> S1tool
-> Sony Mobile - Unlock Bootloader
2) Get this awesome tool called Flashtool and install. Dont forget to install usb drivers from "Drivers" folder too.
3) I assume you have download one of my kernel. Get into Fastboot mode. How? Do i have to repeat how? Press "Volume Up" while connecting your USB cable. you'll see Blue led.
4) Click "Flash" button on Flashtool, then select Fastboot Mode.
5) Choose "Select Kernel to Flash" and find your saved kernel. I'm not gonna find it for you.
6) Once completed, reboot device into system
Those version below was a final version xKernel for Xperia Ray. I might on a new
device next week due someone already booked my ray. Ive planned to give the
last version using 4.1.B.0.587 but unfortunately source published by Sony was
corrupted. Sorry guys, i cant afford to keep my ray. This is it.
Thank you for using my kernel.
