I thought all you have to do is Odin any stock firmware would do it!

What version you were using??4.1

Download the tool kit from here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1746665 run the tool and select the rom for your phone and flash. If you don't have driver installed on your pc, you need to use this tool to flash the driver first, then flash the rom.
