Change notification sound

Hi.

So its easy to change the ring tone but you can't change to custom notification tones.

I guess if I put an mp3 into the right system folder it'd show in the list?

If so, where is that folder?

I have never had an issue using custom notification tones on any Android phone, all I do is keep them in a folder called notifications on my sd card, my m8 has found them no problem.

Just copy the file(s) to a folder on your internal memory and then select it using the app you wish to change. I have my Ringtones in a folder called (surprisingly) Ringtones and other tones in a folder called Notifications

Yes thanks maverick I made a folder called notifications and it appeared in the list.

I think its silly it doesn't just have a + sign like when changing ring tones?

No worries, yes I know what you mean it is a bit strange the + sign is there for ring tones no notifications.
