Cases!

All i see are pouch and folio type of cases, hoping more choices come out soon.

What i miss is the black $10 TPU case w/ kickstand i got on eBay for my original Tab - i wish there was an identical one for the 7 Plus. It won't fit the 7 Plus as the 7 Plus is slightly longer. Thinner is nice w/ the 7 Plus, but I feel like i can more easily lose grip of it compared to the original Tab.

I have a few kickstand accessories i got for my old Tab, but they're not as convenient as a little fold out stand that comes out of the case it's always in.

For now, i took some carbon fiber vinyl covering i had left over from covering my laptop and covered the back of the Tab, then i shaved the back off an extra case i had for my Droid RAZR and stuck it to the back of the 7 Plus w/ double-sided automotive tape. So now i have a kickstand that folds out of the back of it.

The RooCase people inform me that they will have a pretty nice case out for our GTab 7+ around the end of December exactly modeled after the A100 case. Had one for the A100 and it was quite nice. Functional and well-built. The Executive Portfolio model here. Leather is good and the screen frame is securely velcroed. Got it for about $35. I plan on snagging one.

Update: woops sorry i didnt realize that you werent looking for folio cases. Anyway, i ordered a skinomi black carbon fiber protection made for this tab. Unfortunately, i havent received the item yet after 2 weeks of waiting. Im having a very bad experience wit them right now. 3 days after i ordered i made a followup, they told me that they had just processed and shipped my order. I was thinking if i hadnt emailed them, they wouldve neglected my order. Anyway, benefit of the doubt, fine. I waited 10 days nothing was happening on the tracking number. I emailed again earlier to followup and voila! The shiiping just started! What the hell is wrong with those people!

Mine just arrived. I put it on and it's setting. If I have time tonight, I'll post more thoughts and pics.

Yeah my issue with Skinomi was resolved by their manager. Anyway, the carbon fiber skin looks great and the screen protector is smooth. There's a little bit of protruding skin on all 4 corners because they only designed two pieces for the sides that go from top center to bottom center (left and right pieces). It's not a big deal actually but the pointed corners poke my skin sometimes.

I have to say that, although this case initially may feel kinda cheap, I love it (the chemical smell goes away in a few days). It ads surprisingly little bulk to the tablet, and makes it EASIER to hold on to. When this case is on, I feel much less like I am going to drop it.

The other thing that they do not mention, that they should, IMHO, is the two magnets keeping the case closed. Very nice touch. Also, The velcro under-flap that keeps the tablet inside the case is surprisingly secure feeling.[COLOR="Silver"]

One more thing I wanted to mention....

I bought this case near the beginning of an extended trip out of town. I quickly realized I needed a case for this, so ordered the Poetic case using the link that khel26 included. A couple days later I realized I had shipped it to my home address, which I would not be at for close to a month.

I contacted Exact Deals, who sells this via Amazon, and told them the truth, and acknowledged that, being shipped via First Class USPS, there was no way to redirect or call back the original shipment.

I asked if I could, instead, order an additional one (shipped to the correct address where I would be for the next month), and then ship back the one sent to my NYC address when I get back home there in late January to early February.

A couple hours later, I got back the nicest reply from them:

I'd really like a case (preferably a folio) that does a good job of holding it upright in portrait mode. I saw the one with the strange circle on the back, but it looks a bit cheap, and like it doesn't protect the edges terribly
well, nor does it appear to keep the tablet all that securely in place.

Ideas?

I think the rooCase dual view and the Poetic 360 degree cases might be what you are looking for.

This is one thing I do think BN has done well...
