Thumbs up Gooapple V5 new ROMs

Here there are the two updated ROMs of Gooapple V5, I will explain a little how to do it.

Link: rom.gooapple.com

RECOMENDATION: Use the translator of your browser if you have it.

The first rom is the android and the second is the IOs rom. I'm actually using the android rom because is faster and the market works well (like in the youtube video), and no more chinese apps. I think you can get a IOs theme from market.

At the chinese downloader web, after the wait seconds 4 buttons to press will appear: 1 blue, 1 green and 2 white, press the second white one for download.

TRANSLATED INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Preparation:
Please copy the appropriate update packages to the phone comes with memory card inside (file name such as "gooapple_ios.zip" DONT UNZIP IT).
Normal exit from the computer, turn off the phone.

Please keep long press the "Volume + key" and "turn key" boot; until the upgrade screen. Start menu long pressing "Vol + key"
(Menu: For go back on the menu long press Vol + key, for enter press Vol - key )

2* Clear user data
Press "Volume + - key" for Clear user data menu, select "wipedata / factoryreset",
press "volume - key" to enter sub-menu;
short press "volume + - key" Select "Yes - delete all userdata"
long Press the "Volume - key to the implementation of clear user data.

3 the upgrade steps:
B. Long Press "Vol + key" to enter the upgrade option interface.
C. Select the package to perform the upgrade.
a. Please press "volume + - key" for select "apply update from sdcard"; long press "volume - key" to enter sub-option.
b. Select and perform the upgrade package, short press "volume + - key" for select the file name such as "gooapple_ios.zip", press "volume - key" to perform the upgrade.

4. reboot:
update and user data clear steps and select "reboot system now" doing a restart.

*I dont know if there is any problem if you don't clear your data before the update, but if you do it after the reboot the phone will start with chinese language. For change it (With the android ROM):
a) press the options button on the main menu (second button on bottom left of the screen)
b) select the 12th option
c) select the first option and choose your language

Hope it help you!

Help - did the update with the IOS file today. Followed the instructions to a T, including wiping my data first.

Phone booted, but all in chinese. In an earlier post it gave some instructions on how to change language but can't seem to figure it out.

How do I access the language setting????

Thanks

I dont remember what do yo have to do for change language in IOS settings, I recommend to you to update to ANDROID rom and follow my steps until a new update releases because the IOS rom have a lot of apps in chinese and the market dont works, so its funcionality is really messy.

Hi All,

Fantastic site here and glad to be a part of it.

I have recently bought a GooApple 5 and can't for the life of me get the bootloader to come on. I've held down th Vol + and power key for 10 secs, but the phone just boots normally. I've also tried vol - and power, home button and power but still just normal boot.

I tried ROM Manager which did boot my phone but when trying to install the English ROM update i just got an error message.

Any ideas why i cant boot into the reocvery/restore mode?

Thanks
