Default voicemail apk for boostmobile

Now that boost mobile has their own branded Android devices would it be possible to snatch one of the voicemail apks from either the Samsung Prevail, or the Samsung Transform Ultra and install it on a epic touch that's been set to Boostmobile and have the ordinal voicemail notification pop up when a voice mail is left, I already know about gvoice and the voicemail notifier app, just wanna know is it just about the apk or is there something in the system framework that needs to be changed also!

I now know that it's a modified phone apk that's actually needed, I think a Boostmobile Samsung Transform Ultra would work, if someone can post the phone apk file I will give this a shot!

Update: Thanks to the dev & user gotanmp3 we now have a patched working phone apk for Boostmobile customers who have a Samsung Epic Touch.. I can comfirm this working on EL29 based roms. Again all thanks can go to gotanmp3, he also has a thread on hofo for more patched apks swing by and check out that thread...

http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...ons-Fix-Thread

Here's the epic's phone apk link.
http://www.mediafire.com/?fc5ws112gbw767u

I installed this using root explorer, then booted into recovery & wiped cache & dalvik cache, went to advanced fixed permissions, rebooted, and working native voicemail icon... There's a adb way just forgot the steps if anyone knows do post!

TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS: If you get force closes after installing did you:
A. Wipe both caches & fix permissions
B. Make sure your download isn't corrupted

First off let me start off by saying im using a Samsung Epic Touch, its on Boostmobile, I need some devs or anybody that knows how to decompile apk's. I have a Boostmobile Samsung Transform Ultra "phone apk" file. Im currently using VeNom ROM, I installed the ultra's "phone apk" to my epic using root explorer, before I had a chance to reboot phone froze for 1 min.. Then for the first time I saw my voicemail notification pop up and told me I had 3 three messages, then it started bugging out, no matter how many times I clicked to acknowledge the notification it always popped up and kept resetting my phone signal and freeZING the phone. So for now I restored the original "phone apk"" that came with VeNom ROM, is there any devs who want to lend a hand in getting this "phone apk" for us Boostmobile users

I've been looking for the stock boost apks for this exact purpose, i've flashed epic 4g (not touch) to boost. If you have the files, i can decompile to see what's going on, and maybe come up with a solution that will work on sprint roms (i'm the dev of SleeperROM for the Epic 4G)

Epic 4G SleeperROM FC09 - Stock Looks All Performance feat. ShadowKernel

Bash 4.1 Default Shell Environment

Contribute to a Mt. Dew! $1 at a time

OR maybe boost my ego, why not, and hit the thanks button if i helped you!
Either = warm fuzzy!

you're looking for a phone.apk as sprint blocked notifications in their default phone app. boost uses old style notifications, same as cricket, metropcs, and other cdma carriers that don't have visual voicemail.

if you find a patched phone.apk please let me know.

That would be awesome, I have the Samsung prevail & Ultra phone apk along with the phone ask i'm using now from Venom's fast & lean rom, I installed the ultras phone apk & my phone started having a heart attack.. LoL.... The voicemail notification popped up and kept popping up and it wouldn't shut off, also my sd card kept saying scanning, had to install and reboot, let me know if you need me to send you the phone apk's. Thanks alot for rendering your help to us Boostmobile users we've waited a long time to get native vm notification working!

Thanks timer1 but instead of using the voicemail notify app, we are attempting to find or get somebody to patch the epic touch's phone apk so we can get the native icon to work....
