INSTRUCTIONS

Requirements:
▪ Have flashed the 3.14.605.5 RUU or later
▪ Clockworkmod, TWRP, or Amon RA Recovery
▪ HTC Unlocked Bootloader or S-OFF
▪ A Full Wipe Highly Recommended! (Required if this is the first version you are installing)

NOTE: Will not flash over any ROM but this ROM.

Installation:
▪ Copy ROM to root of the SDCARD
▪ Boot into recovery
▪ Factory Reset, wipe cache, and dalvik
▪ Install it using "Choose Zip From SD" Card option
▪ Choose options in Aroma Installer
▪ S-ON Requires a booloader install of kernel (Automatic In Aroma Installer).
▪ S-OFF Will install kernel without booting to bootloader
▪ Boot - and enjoy

CAUTION: Installing the RUU and many ROM's can wipe info on your internal and external SD Cards so back them up to be safe.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
▪ Be patient on first boot since it may sit for a few minutes
▪ Skip everything in settings for first install except maybe location options
▪ Avoid Google and Titanium restores of system apps if possible.
▪ Remove the S-ON - PH98IMG.zip from your SD Card as soon as possible so you don't have bootloader problems later.

Aroma Installer

Will provide multiple choices on a couple of screens:

• ROM Screen
  • Install ROM for S-OFF completely including kernel
  • Install ROM for S-ON devices (will boot to bootloader to install kernel)
  • Skip ROM installation to reinstall other options
  • Install Old Firmware Patch for those still on GB firmware (V5x only)
  • Install Colorized Status Bar
  • Install transparent launcher bar (v5x only)
  • Install or not install HTC Skins
• Application Screen
  • Install or not install selected market and system apps

Depending on your situation you can select all and they will be installed in the proper sequence.

NOTE: If you choose not to install an app or mod at initial installation you can always go back and install it without reinstalling the ROM. However, if you included it and want to remove it you must flash the ROM and not select the option you don't want.

NOTE 2: If you select kernel for S-ON it will automatically reboot to bootloader for install.

OTA Updater - V6.x Only

Will provide the capability to push updates:

• If prompted you will have the option to:
  • Download over data or WiFi - Will remember your choice so you will not get prompted again
  • Accept or decline update
  • If accepted it will automatically reboot to recovery and install
• If you need to reinstall an update you can use app to reinstall
  • Settings > View Downloaded ROM's > Select

Recovery Notes:
CWM & TWRP: Will reboot to recovery and install automatically
AmonRa: Will reboot to recovery but will require a manual install from External SDCARD (/OTA-Updater/download)

Latest RUU Leak and Installation Instructions
NOTE: This is only needed if you want the latest ICS Firmware (Good Idea)

1. Download the 4.03.605.2 Global RUU: >> Here. MD5 = bcdd450501e390ce323a46b396cd0a49
2. Rename the RUU to "PH98IMG.zip". Just remove everything in the name before the PH
3. Copy the renamed ipdate to the root of your external SD Card.
4. Re-lock the bootloader. Skip this if S-OFF
   • Open a DOS prompt and change directory to the folder where you have fastboot.exe
   • Reboot to bootloader
   • Type "fastboot oem lock" (No Quotes) while you are in bootloader (fastboot usb).
5. Reboot to bootloader again via recovery menu.
6. The bootloader should find the PH98IMG.zip file and scan it.
   • Scanning will take awhile so be patient
   • When it prompts you say yes
7. The update will make the first pass.
   • This will take awhile so just watch the progress bar on the right
   • The phone will reboot and sit on the white HTC screen. This could be awhile so be patient and don't get nervous.
   • When it is done it will reboot back to bootloader to run the second pass of the install. Again, this will take some time so just watch the progress bar and OK's on the list.
   • When it is done it will say "press power to reboot" so do it.
   • Now it will boot into the leaked Update.
8. Once booted skip everything in setup
9. If you plan to run it stock then just get it set up to your liking
10. Install Amon Ra recovery version 3.15 (My Preference)
    • If hboot will show tampered at the top but that is normal
11. Flash my ROM using the instructions in post 1

Dammit Nils, I was just about to go home today. Downloading now.

Is anybody else having issues with Gmail not syncing? I don't see it listed above, but for some reason it won't auto sync. It will update when I open it, but it won't let me know if there is new messages. My other emails work great. Just gmail is screwing up. I didn't know if it was something I'm doing or an issue with gmail. I have it set to notify me, and it is set to auto sync in the sync menu.

im on 3.5 and my gmail syncs fine

oh, go to settings and "accounts & sync" check and make sure the sync is enable for gmail

Yeah, that was the first thing I checked. I have now force uninstalled gmail and re installed it. We'll see if it notifies me this time. Thanks for the help both of you.

Well, I tried that and it didn't work either. It's not that big of a deal cause I only use my gmail account occasionally. I'm just not sure what else to try. It's got to be a setting I'm missing, but I don't see it. Thanks for the help.

I would go back into recovery and clear cache and D cache, then reboot,
See if that fixes it

I'll spend a month and a half in Israel this Summer. I know that our phone has a CDMA sim card in it and it will be working in that country if I activate Global Data Plan. However, some local companies offer their own sim cards with better plans and pricing. Verizon told me it has to be a CDMA card in order for the phone to work there. As far as I know, there's no CDMA coverage in Israel so I assume the sim cards there are just GSM. Any way to go around it and have the non-cdma installed and work?
