Default We wont see jelly bean will we?

Simply cuz I've read nothing but how jelly bean is gonna be the next HC. Tablet special ya get me?

But either way, I feel that Google may just not even update our Gnex to key lime pie either...
Nexus S and the 4g model barely got away with getting ota ICS. which I didn't believe we'd get either.

Guess I wanna see others opinions and sources if any that jelly bean may or may not be tablet specific.

It's way to early to speculate, but I can can almost guarantee you that Google will not release another tablet or phone specific OS. The whole point of ICS was to unify the OS across the phones and tablets. Doing something like 3.0/Honeycomb again would be a complete regression back into Developer hell, so Google has no incentive whatsoever to do something like that again. The only reason they made Honeycomb in the first place was just so they could get somewhat competitive in the tablet market because 2.3 or older on a tablet was just horrible.

I can also (almost) guarantee you that the Galaxy Nexus will see at least one major software update. I don't see hardware taking off more than it has the past couple years to the point that the GNex can't keep up for at least the next 18 months or so. But it's way to early to accurately speculate so I wouldn't even worry about it right now anyways.

i think hardware is different... the newest nexus the gallery is outdated as it is only duel core and not quad core like htc has. But i do wish that the nexus line would be the top of the top with experimental hardware such as the first phone with hexacore cpu, quad hd screen, 1tb of onboard storage (for games and movies) 32gb of ram and 64gb of rom and eye tracking for the security along with voice security to unlock and facial as well as both must match to unlock. also 3d heads up display...

I'd like to see where you read that? Makes absolutely no sense. All anyone has said is how big of a failure Honeycomb was an how ICS is made for both phones and tablets. Why in the world would they throw all of that away and go back to 2 different OSes for tablets and phones?

DONATE TO ME
I'd say, with 1GB of RAM, dual 1.2Ghz processor and a 4.65" screen; the Galaxy Nexus will be able to keep up with innovations for a while as hardware can't progress much further without a new battery technology being developed to power the dual quad core processor, 1GB GPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB flash memory and 1080p/i screens for example.

It was a tweet from I believe phonedog a week or so ago,
They just said they think it might go that way.
Also another tweet led me to another write up by Idk who that they wouldn't be surprised if jelly bean just never hits phone status.

Which is kinda how nexus s went from 2.3 to 4.0 ya know? Like they would just skip jelly bean all together and jump right into KLP

Our Nexus will most likely if not definitely get at least 1 software upgrade (the supposed Jelly Bean Update). The reason Nexus S didn't get HC was because HC was a tablet-OS and it would be counter-intuitive to port it to smaller screened and less powerful devices.
Galaxy Nexus GSM
ROM: Stock 4.2.1
Kernel: Stock 4.2.1

Rockin' stock since Jelly Bean.

Oh yeah totally. They did try to get HC ported but to no avail. I kinda hope we do t get jelly bean though. I have a feeling we'll be skipped right to KLP. I came from a nexus s 4g and let me tell ya, I absolutely LOVED that damn fone. When they gave ns4g gummy rom, that was the ****. By far was the smoothest and functional rom available. There was no need for an OTA.

now I hope the same thing happens for gnex. If we get a crazy awesome aosp rom build of either JB or KLP ILL be ecstatic.

Gotta love developers. Wish I had the nogin to contribute.
