The Wired Headphones/Headsets Thread - the best of the best for SGS3
So, we have a couple of threads already: wireles headsets, earphones.
This one is for
Wired Headphones and Headsets
Since there are very few APT-X capable wireless bluetooth headphones available and "genral" bluetooth ones sound so so, people like me, who prefer sound quality over wireless factor, always lack the info about what is the best and such.
The main factors, I believe, for wired headphones are: Good Sound and how much battery power they suck out of our gadgets.
Let's have this thread for such discussions and suggestions.
Sadly, we do not yet have our SGS3s to test everything live, but we can try starting anyways.
I can start with
Audio-Technica ATH-ES55. I have the white model.

This model sounds very good. I have tested it with various devices (Cowon J3, HTC Sensation and others) and it really brings superb sound. Some details:
Frequency Response 10 - 25,000 Hz
Maximum Input Power 1,000 mW
Sensitivity 103 dB/mW
Impedance 34 ohms
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sennheiser HD 580

One more great sounding model, older audiophile series that still sound very very good to my ears.
Frequency response: 12 - 38,000 Hz
Nominal impedance: 300 ohms
Characteristic SPL: at 1 kHz 97 dB
Load rating: 0.2 W
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sennheiser HD 650

Another audiophile grade headphones that are pretty famous for their pure natural sound, the best of what i have now. These is the preferred model for me to use around the house, for games and music listening.
Frequency response (headphones) 10.....39,500 Hz
Nominal impedance 300 Ω
Sound pressure level (SPL) 103 dB (1 Vrms)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beyerdinamic DT 770 M

These are another German made headphones. They are closed and are for stage and studio use, people around you won't really hear what you're listening and you won't hear them too as they provide an excellent isolation against ambient noise. They have a volume control directly at the headphone. However, they are not so pleasant to wear and the sound is not that great as audiophile Sennheiser ones offer.
Headphone impedance 80 ohms
Headphone frequency response 5 - 30.000 Hz
Nominal sound pressure level 105 dB
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep the suggestions coming and let discussion begin
