Default [Q] ICS Update - SD Card Encryption

Hi all!

I've recently updated my Xperia Arc to the new ICS 4.0.4 release (4.1.B.0.431) via SEUS.

One of the main reason why I was expecting this update was the possibility of encrypting the SD card natively, as far as I know, provided by Google from Honeycomb and ICS. I think google has take too much time to do this, since old WM, BB, or even Palm devices had this capability since years ago.

This is a very important option for me (and I guess it should be for anyone) bearing in mind the big amount of sensitive data we usually store on SD card, even more important in a device with only 340MB free memory, in which lots of programs and data must be stored in the SD card.

Nevertheless, I've discovered that, after the update, the option is not present... I don't know the reason, I've asked to Sony about that, but I'm still waiting for an answer.

Do you guys know if they haven't included this option, if it's hidden, if it will be included lately...? I haven't found any info in the forum... Am I the only one that really miss this option? What happens if I loose my phone? It's pin protected, but what about the photos and work documents stored in the Card?

Regards.

I was hoping for full encryption too. But can't find it on my device:
Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (SK17i), Android 4.0.4 Build 4.1.B.0.431
(stock rom)
