Unhappy [Q] Can't Enter Into Recovery Mode Galaxy S4 AT&T

Hello,

I think I just did something really dumb!

I just recently got a Samsung Galaxy S4 {AT&T}, and I was able to root it just fine. Today, I thought I'd try installing the Gummy Rom. That worked out just fine as well. Whenever I tried to install gapps, however, it said the install failed. To be safe, I decided to reboot from a previous backup I had made. Unfortunately, I got stuck at the AT&T logo when rebooting. I read somewhere that the solution is to remove the battery, place it back in after about five minutes {to be safe}, and then power into recovery mode.

My problem comes here.

I can't get into recovery mode. I've tried multiple times by powering on the device while holding Volume Up + Home + Power. Then, when I see the Samsung logo, I let go of the power button while still pressing the volume up + home buttons. Normally, I would get into Recovery Mode. However, now all I see is a quick flash of "Recovery Rebooting..." in blue at the top left, which brings me straight back to the AT&T logo screen problem.

Help?

Don't let go of any bottons till it goes into recovery mode. Good luck. Relax, you can fix it.

Thanks for the advice. :}
I just tried it, and unfortunately, it didn't work. :{

Here are the screens I see:

1. Samsung Galaxy S4 Custom {with an image of an unlocked lock}
*This {1} is where the flash of "Recovery Booting..." appears
2. Samsung Screen with the rotating colorful ellipse thing
3. AT&T logo

Smile Got Into Recovery!

Alright, I got into recovery mode! I'm using CWM Recovery.

Just to be safe, what should I do now?

EDIT; I'm all very new at this, so please, try to be as specific as possible. Thanks!

Have you tried putting it into download mode and using ODIN to flash it? (vol-down + home + power)

You can get a stock rom from sammobile.com.

I have not tried that yet.

EDIT; I got back into recovery mode after finally figuring out what I did wrong. It turns out I had to let go of all three buttons after the "Recovery Booting..." appeared.

I just did a "Wipe data/factory reset." Do I need to just reboot now, or should I try restoring again?
I have two restore options:

- 1970-01-17.22.27.44/
- 1970-01-18.00.55.47/

Restore the most recent backup, and if that fails:

I would suggest just flashing the phone using ODIN, there are plenty of guides around which will take you through the flashing process. sammobile.com makes it very easy to find the stock ROM for your phone, so it'll be easy to flash it back to its original state!
