I've seen some thread on various websites saying that the nook simple touch had bluetooth, or might have once hacked or what ever.
I'm asking here if anyone managed to get bluetooth working (and to successfully connect something to the nook with bluetooth ?)

Thanks

No Bluetooth.

The confusion arose over the exact model of the Jorjin WG7310 module.
We have the WG7310-2A, that's WiFi without Bluetooth.

You could hack in a Bluetooth serial interface to one of the UARTs.
That's one of the things that I've been wanting to try.

Hi Renate,

I thought about attaching a HC05 to ttyS1 - do you think that would be supported by the kernel?

Cheers,
Peter

It should work fine.
There is only TXD & RXD, no handshaking.
