Is it possible to do a TA backup of the Z2 yet since there is no root with a locked bootloader?

Tutorial D6543 users

I ran into problems with WIFI in my Brazilian 2.55 version (DTV). Wifi MAC address desappeared, couldn't use it anymore. I'm writting just to help anyone whom have ranned into the same issue.

Using flashtool, start process to flash (choose Flashmode option) "D6543_17.1.A.2.55_Generic BR [1281-5466_R5A].ftf",using "flashtool-0.9.16.1-windows" but untick the following: WIPE APPSLOG, WIPE CACHE, WIPE DATA. You also need to tick Exclude: PARTITION, FOTA, SYSTEM, ELABEL. "No final verifications" and "Reset customizations" must also be unticked.

This is my contribution for those who want to keep root, dual recovery mode and no wifi issues in D6543.

Cheers from Brazil.

Its mandatory to use the custom kernel in order to root your phone? It would be nice on the 1st thread, to have all the problems the root can bring. Except the DRM Keys, what other apps doesn't work anymore.

Ty in advance!
