For those who haven't bothered to read the READ THIS BEFORE POSTING announcement by mrvanx, I brought it to you:

A few things you should keep in mind before posting to XDA-Developers forums:

Check if your question has been asked before

Some questions just keep popping up over and over. Please use the 'search function' in the menu above each and every page in the forum. Try entering a few keywords to see if your question has been asked before. If it has, please read the topics and see if you can figure it our from there. You can also search inside a topic if it has too many comments by using the search function (CTRL+F) in your browser. If you don't find the answer, please post a comment to the relevant thread instead of starting a new one.

RTFW, or Read the Wiki

Chances are your question is already answered on the wiki: Make sure you browse through the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) before you start a new topic. If it's an obvious or common question, chances are someone has already put the answer there.

ETFW, or Edit the Wiki

Information stored in the wiki is dynamic: The wiki makes it easy for anyone to contribute or edit pages, and link them together, it is the best way to keep all information current and accurate. If you ask something in the forum which you didn't find on the wiki previously, please take 5 minutes of your time to EDIT the wiki and add the information there when you get an answer. This is the only way to avoid tons of new threads asking the very same questions over and over and over again.

Don't be afraid of editing the wiki if you don't understand the wiki syntax: Formating may seem a bit complicated at the beginning, but you don't have to care too much if you just want to add content, add it as if you were writing a text document and sure someone more experienced with wiki syntax will edit it after and correct the bad formating mistakes.

If it's your first time here, we encourage you to read general XDA-Developers guidelines too, which is an extended version of what has already been said here.

Please consider a few guidelines before posting to the Blackstone Forum and Subfora!

(also applies to other Fora!)

DO check whether your question has been asked before!
There are some questions that have been asked before several times.
Use the “Search” function on the brown menu bar on the top of the page. There you have the options the have Google search inside XDA-developers site or to use the built-in forum search.
If your search has no/unsatisfying results, try with different keywords.

If your question has been asked, read the thread or use the “Search” function to search through that specific thread.

If you don’t find the answer, try posting in that thread as chances are bigger someone can help you.

Alternatively you can start using the XDA-Developers FireFox & IE Search Bar Plug In.

DO read the Wiki!
Chances are that the answer to your question is already to be found in the Wiki. So please check the Wiki and read the FAQs.

DO edit the Wiki!
All the information that is stored in the Wiki is dynamic. Therefore it can be edited by everyone. Updating the Wiki in this way leaves us with an up to date Wiki which can successfully answer other user’s question only by reading it.
Also posting an answer you get on the forum to the Wiki helps other users with future similar questions.

Just enter video capturing mode in camera application. Then enable flash. Voila, you have a LED flash!

but that is not the entire power of led. it is more powerful than this.
i installed 2-3 programs, but they couldn't active this function.

i want a program to do this, because of my work, some times i need it

Hi

I flashed Ravyvitto's latest 3.0 rom and my text message time always shows 5 hours behind.
For example: It is 7 PM but it shows 2PM.
I tried to change my timezone to GMT-0 and it was fixed but it screwed up everything in the calendar.
I have tried this fix on registry but it didn't work
HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\TrustTimeZoneField = 0x00000000(0)
Any one know how to fix this in Acer neotouch?

Hi!
I'm just wondering, since I've never read anyone complaining, if my F1's camera is "out of order".
The symptoms are as follows:

Pictures only come out a little sharp if taken out side on a sunny day. Indoors, they are always blurry, unless I set the phone on the table and set the cam timer, so that no one touches the phone during shutter release.
I've tried setting iso to higher values so shutter speed would be higher, thus compensating for any hand movement, but that option does exactly nothing, seems merely cosmetic.
Turning on the led flash results in over exposed pictures if taken at close range (or it's useless if the subject is a little further) AND STILL BLURRY, as if the camera has no idea the flash will light up when I press the button.
Anti-shake mode is useless also.

I've been trying every ROM "in the book", but none of them solve the problem.

Even if no one has a solution, i'd like to know if this happens only on my F1 or if it's a common problem to all of us.

I believe it is common problem to us all. Unfortunately ACER camera is very poor!
