I'm from Hyderabad, India and I too have purchased the LG Optimus 7 from Singapore (via a relative).

I have a cheapo bluetooth stereo headset, the Bluedio AV890.

While it worked perfectly fine with my older Nokia E51, the Optimus 7 does not recognize it. Will try another bluetooth device and tell you if it's a problem with the phone or the headset.

Hi, I have the following problem in my LG Optimus 7.

I have it connected with the A2DP supported bluetooth headset Plantronics Boyager Pro UC V2, and all the system sounds, including sms and email alerts go to the headset due to the A2DP support. With Ringtones it's fine. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

hi,

I've just bought an optimus 7 as well (UK), and have the BLUETOOTH "perpetual searching" problem where it never finds any bluetooth device (despite me trying 3 bluetooth headsets which work just fine with every handset i've got from SE P900 through A HTC Touch Pro 2 - in fact all 3 show up when in pairing mode on the HTC screen while the LG just "searches")

I've called the UK LG support team who tell me this is NOT a hardware fault and they have MANY customers with the same problem - they say "its all microsoft's fault and are awaiting a software fix") .. they refuse to put this in writing !!!!!!!!!

Personally i think its a widespread LG design or manufactiuring/component fault as they have form for telling lies (either that or being systematically incompetant) to customers

I am about to write a formal letter to them asking them to confirm its a software issue and will be retified by a certain point in the future ... as a first step to dealing with the issue

I have had a pretty bad experience before with LG whereby for 6 months LG support were telling me the defective product would be rectified by a software update which never arrived - so we will see -

the other issue i have with the optimus 7 is that the vibrate function doesnt work as well (yep i have switched it on in settings)

But it does work if i go in the the MFG engineers testing app and test the vibrate function there

... so it looks like maybe LG could be guilty here of sloppy firmware/testing .. and i wonder if its the same with the bluetooth like they say (maybe they used batches of different bluetooth chipsets which subsequent updates didnt suport)

LG .. LG .. LG .. ggrrrrrrr

Default same here

took the device to lg center.
because my device was bought in october it is not eligible for 1for1 exchange.
ppl at lg told me that we have to wait for microsoft update, although i really doubt that a new update will fix the bluetooth issue.

Smile HW fault

I had the same problem right out of the box last November (no bt devices detected, only in very rare lucky cases).
Sent it in for repairs and since it came back some weeks later BT works so it seems like my device had a hw fault (or they updated some software, I dont know... but the case was opened)

had a letter back from LG (uk) stating that there was no defect (bluetooth)with the optimus 7 line ... the letter went on to say that the many reported user problems were due to different bluetooth chipsets used (kind of ridiculous lg opening the letter with the no defects line then ... LOL)

no explanation of why their support team were refusing to repair/replace and stating it was a software issue and to wait for an update and head office (per my letter) stating theres no issue - completely opposite

so now i have to write back asking lg how i get the phone fixed if their support team refuse to accept its a hardware issue

if only we had class actions in the uk ... LG need the mother of class actions right up their rectum !
