This ROM is based on @cas_xp's, @dsixda's, @kalt_kaffe's, and @tkirton's work. A big "Thank You" goes to them.

Also a big Thank you goes to www.heylisten.org/ROM, the provider of the free hosting and the one(s) that made OTA possible. I will also be making a QR code to download it straight to your phone.

Would this ROM work on U8150 (aka ideos)? Would compcache work on that?

Hi men, so wonderfull your rom, I test it for Huawei U8100-5 for Chile, and functionality is good (LCD Density Changed need it for the screen)...

Men, how can I help you to make a best Rom from this devices? If you make this with CM7? I don't know... but I thinks is a good idea...

The best way to help is by testing and hammering these builds mercilessly and finding all the bugs and maybe even giving a workaround for these bugs.

Issues setting up ROM

Hello everyone,
I've been trying to install thahawa's rom on the little spare time I had but i'm unable to get past the very first part, which is Backup.

Model is U8100-5
Stock ROM, from Movistar Argentina.
Rooted, No odd apps, Installed terminal, Clockwork 3.0.0.2 (from market),etc

The problem is that I tried installing clockworkmod recovery from the clockwork app, (Selected Pulse Mini) no problems reported there.

But when booting in recovery mode. I get a black screen with the following:

(The /!\ is a yellow attention Icon)

There are no imgs in the SD root nor anything suspicious.
I tried also (just as an option) the recovery option for Huawei Pulse, and old version 2.5.0.7 (old versions menu). All show the same error.
Also tried permissions fix in clockwork app.

I already googled long and wide for any info on this, so I tought on posting here since many might have gone through something similar.

- Any toughts folks? How did you manage to get Nandroid/AmonRa/Clockwork working in your U8100 to make a backup of the stock ROM?

- Should I proceed with Nandroid long installation process (Android SDKs, etc) or is there a good clockworkmod recovery image for U8100s ? Alternatives?
